Fall is coming - Organize your closet

Ok, I have to admit, I am a little bit obsesses with Organizing!
I especially love organizing my closet - seeing all those shoes, bags and clothes lined up and color coded gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Don´t laugh! If it´s about that time for you too - when the sweater and shoe pile ups have gotten totally out of control, think carefully about how to organize your closet:

Take some time do de-clutter. Summer is the perfect time to get on this - clean out your winter gear and donate anything you no longer wear

Use a variety of storage solutions to create the perfect solution for you

Essentially. make your own custom closet

Try color going your wardrobe and shoes - it looks pretty and really works

Push your least use clothing and shoes to the back and bring your faces to the front for easy access

Don´t have any great closets? Turn a small bedroom into your very own dressing room by installing racks for clothes and shoes xo

Collaboration: OLIVIA PALERMO IN CATHERINE MALANDRINO FOR KOHL’S

We are finally getting a first look at the collaboration between Catherine Malandrino and Kohl’s – on none other than fashionista Olivia Palermo! The style icon was recently spotted in NYC wearing an edgy, cutout dress (for only $88!) from the line paired with a bold clutch and Dior pumps.
The newest DesigNation partnership is one of my favorites, bringing us chic, French-inspired pieces in a black, white, burgundy and blue color palette. Mark you calendars for September 27th! xo

Love it!!!

Fall Trend :CHIC COLLARED NECKLACES

Statement jewelry is my signature so of course I love collared necklaces and what they offer any outfit. A simple jeans and tee can be transformed with a bold neckline, whether it’s a gold strand, bejeweled chain or peter pan collar. When deciding how to wear collared necklaces for fall, chose one of these eight options for the win. xo

Fall Trend : Must have - ANKLE BOOTS

No longer a platform stilt, this season´s boot still kicks ass bit with a block heel
, a chiseled toe, and maybe even a tractor sole.

Try a pair and feel the force.

Falls color: If you´re referring to the shoe itself, it´s most likely black, gray or white.

If you mean the heel, it´s wood, LUcite, or gold. Simple and stunning.

Wear them with everything.... I love my Ankle boots and you ?? xox

Fall Trends : Turtle Power

Among the season´s best sweaters is the not-so-humble turtleneck.

It´s not the turned-down versions of the ´80s, but a sleek mock neck that can be
dressed up by a slit at the side.

Pair yours with wide-legged pants á la Net-a-Porter´s Holli  Rogers or ankle-Length culottes like fashion consultant Yasmin Sewell.....

....just add heels! xox

FALL STYLING RULES

You may be in the know on the trends but just how will you wear them?

Clash your perennial prints.....

What´s that you say? Wear all the Prints at once? Yes! Staple patterns that serve you season after season work with each other too. Mix leopard with Breton stripes, florals, spots ( like EMANUEL UNGARO)  and zebra....

Two hats are better than one .....

Maybe believing that we lose most of our body heat from the head, many designers showed models wearing two hats. Channel ACNE by tying a headscarf under a trilby....

Capetown

Fall Trend: Camouflage

If you invest in only one trend tho smooth make it one one of these....

You can´t hide from camouflage this autumn. Christopher Kane proved that it doesn´t always have to be a masculine print by incorporating blue, grey and lilac hues into his collection.....

Check out Michael Kor´s icy take on the print for new ideas....

September Fall Trend: NAVY & Gray

Black and white may be the color choices for fall, but a woman cannot live on black and white alone.

Luckily, designers like Céline, Lanvin, and Chloé .... opted for a softer plaette for the season, mostly navy and gray.

For as long I can remember , navy has been relegated primarily to resort and spring dressing; striped sailor tops, navy dresses and color combinations unclothing anything navy and white....

And then there´s gray. Gray its my favorite noncolor and I haven´t met a gray cashmere sweater I didn´t want...while you can go safe and wear gray with black, I like the contrast of a sharp with shoe á la Céline...

HOW TO WEAR SHORTS INTO NEXT SEASON

I don’t know about you, but my girl friends like  to wear shorts until the last possible second. Considering the weather has still been warm and sunny, they have  been scheming on how to get away with wearing shorts as the seasons change. I love the edginess of this outfit (if cutoffs aren’t your thing, try a plain black pair) and it’s perfect for a hot summer night out on the town. With one chic addition of a tuxedo blazer, the look makes a seamless transition into fall. xo

It's time for a haircut

Time for a Haircut? 4 Tips for Knowing When

For some of us, getting a haircut is a big step. Even if you know you need a trim, you love your long locks so much that it’s tough to admit it’s time for a cut. You may be trying to grow your hair to have the gorgeous waves and lengths of superstars (I totally get that!) and you don’t want to disrupt the growth process. Here’s the good news: you can keep the number of cuts to a minimum, but you still need a couple of trims every year.  Here’s the scoop to help you decide if it’s time for a trim!

  • When split-ends start taking over. Split ends can leave your hair looking stringy and flat, while a quick trim will bring back your full, thick look.
  • When the tangles are too much. Stringy, split ends will result in more knots. And, when it’s tough to get the brush through, it’s time to get spruced.
  • If your hair has a triangle shape. When your hair starts to grow into the shape of a Christmas tree down your back, it’s time to get the scissors out.
  • If your gorgeous locks start looking flat. If you have to resort to loads of product and your at-home blowout just doesn’t look quite right – it’s probably time for a cut.
How about you – is it time for a cut?

THE BEST WAY TO REDUCE SKIN REDNESS

Low moisture, harsh winds and constantly moving from warm to cold to warm temperatures are just some of the reasons why we deal with (super annoying!) red skin in the winter.
This time of year is also prime for picture-taking so I thought it would be helpful for everyone if I shared the best way to reduce skin redness! Try these remedies and I promise you’ll have an even-toned, flawless face in no time.

  • Use a vitamnin E intensive moisturizer  or chamomile lotion to sooth the skin
  • Participating in outdoor sports? Try a thicker balm on your cheeks to prevent windburn. And of course, cover up with a bandana or scarf!
  • If you find yourself getting flustered or feeling puffy from the changing of temperatures (cold in your car, warm in your office), stay away from salt and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
  • You can also spritz your face with a  calming facial mist
  • Use concealer with a green tint  to neutralize the redness.
And if these ways to reduce skin redness aren’t working for you, please book an appointment with your dermatologist to rule out eczema, rosacea or skin allergies that may be causing the persistent problem. xo

Fall Trend : Colour Swatch

Look to the catwalk´s winning combinations for your perfect two-tone palette....

Victoria Beckham´s LEMOn + BISCUIT : the right shade of yellow can light up your face, the wrong one can make you look jaundiced....work it with a geometric-print shoe!

Jonathans Saunders´ ROSE + TOMATO: opt for minimal pieces in pink and red; Blocks of color look fresh as do strong prints, florals, however, are too country-house cushion......

Antipodium´s GREY + PEA GREEN: Cue a fish´n chips craving: mushy pea green and grey are traditionally more masculine hues, pair with floral prints and kooky details......

Keep swatting :-)
