Plain T-Shirt - how to wear

A plain white t-shirt is one of the most versatile pieces you’ll ever have in your closet. Boat neck, v-neck, round collar, or crew, the choice is up to you. You can never have too many and keeping them pristine is an absolute must for a timeless, fashionable look. Having a variety in your closet can make for easy dressing, particularly on days when you don’t want to think too hard about what to wear but still want to look chic. Add your favorite pair of jeans, a great jacket and some of these accessories to pull off casual elegance. Read ahead for some of my favorite style tips.

1. Printed Scarf – Add color, patterns, and current trends to an otherwise simple outfit with a bold printed scarf.

2. Dramatic Earrings – Frame your face with some dramatic earrings and let the t-shirt do its job as a simple anchor for otherwise sparkly jewelry

3. Statement Necklace – To bring the attention up towards your face, choose a bold, statement necklace over a simple white tee.

Copy the Look: Denim on Denim

The denim on denim trends has been around for quite a while now and if you haven’t already tried it, you’re missing out. It’s a very cool look that’s perfectly wearable all year long. You could say it’s very much like doing a Canadian tux except that it doesn’t strictly have to be a jacket and pants combo. There are so many ways to rock the denim on denim trend and each one is truly gorgeous and fab. If you’re not a big fan of wearing denim tops, you can still rock the look by switching denim with softer and lighter chambray, especially for warmer days in spring and summer. The denim on denim look, also known as the double denim look, is a stylish way to put together an easy, laid-back and relaxed casual outfit though you can always dress it up or down a bit to achieve different looks too ....

Button Down Tops

There are so many looks that you can pull off using a button down shirt and it all just depends on the accessories that you wear with them as well as the bottoms and the shoes. They are super versatile and can be worn anytime, anywhere. A lot of women I know love a good button down shirt because it’s so easy to wear and it never goes out of style. It’s one of those few pieces that you can keep in your closet and wear all year long because they’re super flexible in terms of style and really easy to work with, too. If you’re building a wardrobe that you can use for the years to come, it would be wise to invest in a few couple of good quality button down shirts in various colors (granted that you already have the basic and neutral colors, that is). Here are some stylish ways to wear a button down shirt.
Cool and casual – if you’re looking for a foolproof way to wear a button down shirt, do a casual look. You can achieve this by wearing your button down shirt with your favorite pair of jeans. Classic denims and a white button down is a really popular combination during spring and summer. Don’t forget to finish up the look with cool and comfy shoes. Heels are great if you want to make your outfit look more polished but if you’re after total comfort, you can opt for ballerina flats or sandals for a girly look or sneakers for a more casual vibe.

Smart and sexy – button down shirts make a great addition to your work wardrobe. Go for a smart and sexy look by wearing your button down shirt with a figure flattering pencil skirt. You’ll get a sexy silhouette from this outfit combination. You can also throw on a blazer on top if you want to make it even more business-y. And, of course, don’t forget to slip into a pair of sky-high sexy pumps!

Styling Inspiration: Leather Skirts

If you’re looking for a piece that you can wear that would let you keep your feminine style but also add a little bit of spunk and edge to it, go for a leather skirt. Leather skirts have always been a favorite for a lot of women during the colder days but you can definitely wear them during spring and summer as well. Leather is a nice fabric with a smooth texture and it’s the perfect piece to reach for if you want something sleek and posh. Wear it if you want to create an outfit that’s both edgy and girly or if you simply want to add that subtle sexy vibe to your look. If you’re not sure on how to rock this piece, check out these ways to wear a leather skirt.

Leather on leather – you’ve heard about the denim on denim trend, now why not try the leather on leather combo? This may not be ideal for summer unless you live somewhere really, really cold but it would make a really cool outfit for fall and winter. Wearing leather on leather always tends to give you that rock and roll / punk – ish kind of vibe but if you want to keep the ‘girliness’ of your look, just be sure to add something in the mix that’s soft, sexy or feminine like a pair of fierce heels or some lace .

Play with other textures – and since we’re on the topic of textures, why not pair your leather skirt with a top that has interesting texture as well? A fur vest or jacket would really look nice with a leather skirt for colder seasons while something like lace with a leather pencil skirt would be wonderful for warmer weather.

Try to stick to neutral leather colors like brown, black and gray. If you must wear something brighter, go for red leather. Any other color will make leather look fake and tacky. Wear your leather skirt with a top in the same color.

If you’re looking for a piece that you can wear that would let you keep your feminine style but also add a little bit of spunk and edge to it, go for a leather skirt !! xo

One of the most popular times of year for weddings, fall is an excellent choice when it comes to setting the date. From the crisp autumn air to the bright, blue sky and changing leaves, Mother Nature offers a backdrop that can’t be beat. Planning ahead for slightly cooler temps with fun wedding additions like a cozy fire and wraps or blankets for guests are just a few of the ways a fall wedding is unique. Perfumes for Fall

As the seasons change, so do our moods and the fragrances we wear to reflect them. The warmer scents of fall inspire spicier, woodsier perfumes, reflective of the rich colors and thicker textures beholden to the season. With the official start of fall just a few short days away, I’m ready to update my perfume tray with a few sultrier concoctions. If you’re ready to update, too, think of scents that go hand-in-hand with caramel, pumpkin, and cinnamon. These are the bases that inspired the new fall 2014 perfume lineup, some of which are listed below.

  1. Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone  – Inspired by the sea-side air and windswept shore, Jo Malone’s new fragrance combines the woody earthiness of sage with the freshness of ocean waves.
  2. Velvet Rose by Dolce & Gabbana  – If you’re a rose lover, this is the perfect fragrance for you. It combines three different types of roses with a hearty musk base.
  3. Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez – This seductively musky scent is clean and forward thinking.
  4. Bonbon by Viktor & Rolf  – As the name implies, this scent was inspired by caramel with notes of peach, amber and sandalwood.
  5. Halston Woman Amber by Halston – An exotic blend that combines amber, tuberose, musk and sandalwood with Italian mandarin and red currants.
Have you tried any of these scents yet? Which one has you ready to celebrate the holidays

Styling : Summer to Fall Wardrobe

While there is certainly a definite update to a wardrobe that happens when fall comes around, there’s no need to completely get rid of your warmer weather items. There are some key pieces from summer that can be re-worked to be incorporated into the cooler months. The key is to think about layering, as well as adding tights, jackets, and scarves to existing pieces. If you’re ready to change it up for the transitional months, here’s a list of garments you can keep in the rotation for weeks to come.

White T-Shirt – This is probably the most versatile piece you’ll ever own, and chances are you’ll keep it around throughout all the seasons. Add a scarf, jacket and dark denim for a fall-ready look. And here are some other tips on how to layer and glam it up.

Bright Colors – Don’t shy away from bright (even neon!) colors for fall. If you pair them with leather (a jacket, pants, or even a circle skirt), it will fit right into the season. Shorts – If you have shorts in a thick fabric, or leather, they will work well with a structured jacket and tights.

Finish off the look with boots and jewel toned accessories.

Summer Dresses – Florals are in for fall in a big way, so if you have dresses with prints, re-purpose them with a jacket, scarf, and tights with boots for a fashion-forward look.

Open-toed Shoes – More and more, it’s perfectly acceptable to wear open-toed footwear for fall, considering how much warmer the summer-to-fall months are becoming. Keep peep-toe booties and sandals (particularly ones with thicker heels) in your closet for warmer days. Pair them with warmer colors in the rest of your ensemble for a season-appropriate look.

It’s very versatile so you can wear it with anything and everything in your closet. You can dress it up or keep it cool and casual. You can also DIY your jeans if you want something that’s unique and extraordinary. Jeans have come a long way. From the plain and simple regular jeans, you now have pairs that come in all colors, prints, patterns and styles. One particular style that I’ve loved so far is high waisted jeans. I think they’re super flattering and really cute and stylish, too. LOVE my Converse: Most Fashionable Sneakers

To be honest, if I were given money to spend on a few couple pairs of shoes a few years ago, Converse wouldn’t be anywhere near the top of my list. I just wasn’t the type of girl to wear sneakers or trainers or tennis shoes or whatever you would call them. I always preferred heels, wedges, flats and boots to sneakers because I think it suited my style more and those were the shoes that I was comfortable with wearing. Recently, though, I’ve slipped into a pair of Converse shoes and realized how comfy they were so I tried to wear them as much as I can these past few weeks and I can’t believe how versatile they are as well! They work so well with so many items in my closet and I’m pretty sure they would work great with yours, too! Here are some stylish  styling inspiration  to wear with Converse shoes.

Styling Inspiration : First Date

Going out on a first date shouldn’t put that much pressure on us girls but sometimes when the guy you really like asks you out on a date, you can’t help but stress out over tiny things such as how to act, what to say and, of course, what to wear for your first date. It’s understandable – I know you want to impress him but be careful in planning certain things out because you’ll still want your true self to shine, right? What you wear to a first date is very important. It contributes greatly to your date’s first impression of you. You’ll want to wear something that’d make you look extra cute while still allowing you to sport your own personal style. Check out these tips on what to wear to a first date to help you decide on what outfit to put together for that first date.

Something girly – even if you’re not really a girly girl, at least try to wear something that’s feminine for a first date. Men always love it when women look cute and dainty. Dresses are always great for achieving that soft feminine look but if dresses are not your thing, there are other ways that you can look feminine as well. A lace or silk blouse, for example, can be worn with a pair of jeans for the perfect balance of girly and comfy casual.

Something that shows your personal style – as much as you want to impress your date by dressing up the way most men like women dressed up, try not to go overboard to the point where you no longer show what your personal style really is. Most men will say they don’t care much about women’s fashion but believe me, they will know when you’re faking it. How, you ask? Because wearing something you’re not used to will show and you won’t look and feel very comfy in it.

Don’t worry about labels – unless he works in fashion, your date won’t know whether you’re wearing Prada, Jimmy Choo or whatnot or if you’re wearing something you got from the thrift store. Don’t worry about the labels and choose something that you’re comfortable with instead. Nothing is more gorgeous than a woman who is comfortable with herself.

Comfy clothes – how would you feel if your date never stopped fidgeting in front of you? Wouldn’t you feel awkward and think there’s something wrong? Well, think about that for a second before you choose what to wear to a first date. You don’t want your date to think you don’t really want to be there by fidgeting so much now, would you? This is why it’s important to wear comfortable clothes when going on a date, especially the first one.

Something appropriate – if you don’t know where your date is taking you, ask. Most first dates aren’t surprise dates so there’s a pretty good chance he’ll tell you where he plans on taking you. This will prevent you from overdressing or under-dressing. If you’re going out on a fancy dinner date, you can always rely on your trusty ol’ LBD. A quick coffee in the afternoon, on the other hand, calls for something more casual like t-shirt and jeans or maybe even shorts.

Print Combinations To Try Now

The print on print trend is still on for this season so we’re making the best out of it before it goes out of style (though honestly, I wish it would stay a bit longer since it’s such a cute trend). Despite the fact that this trend has been around for quite some time now, not everyone is comfortable with wearing it yet. A lot of women think that wearing two different prints in one outfit will end up in a tacky look while some aren’t sure about how to make a cute outfit with clashing details.
While it can be a challenge, the print on print trend is certainly wearable and very easy to do if you know how to go about it. If you want to try out the print on print trend, check out these cool print combinations:

Stripes and floral prints – stripes and floral prints make a great combination because stripes aren’t too detailed and ornate while floral prints often are. The combination creates a perfectly balanced look that’s not too overwhelming. If you’re doing the print on print trend for the first time, this is one of the print combinations that you can try. It’s a statement maker yet it’s not too loud or too bold to intimidate you or other people.

Same but different – I know the bullet title sounds confusing but it’s actually quite simple. If you want to sport the print on print trend and do a look that’s different but somehow still the same, why not wear the same print with a different design. For example, you can wear floral prints from head to toe but wear abstract floral prints on top and graphic floral prints down the bottom. This styling trick makes it easier for you to create a more cohesive outfit that still has that trendy twist.

Matchy-matchy – not bold enough to mix two completely different prints in one outfit but still want to do the print on print look? A really simple and easy way to go about doing this is to wear matching prints from head to toe. It’s just like wearing a dress in a certain pattern / print except that you’re wearing it in two separate pieces.

Polka dots and stripes – another really fun and simple print combination that you can sport this summer is polka dots and stripes together. Both prints are simple and clean but when worn together, they make one heck of a tandem. Since both prints require at least two colors, try to wear them in the same color palette. If you have the classic black and white stripes, reach for a black and white polka dotted piece as well.

Ideas for Off the Shoulder Tops

Off the shoulder tops are the perfect way to look sweet and sexy. These tops are perfect for anything, from going to the beach, going on a road trip or just spending a lazy summer afternoon outdoors. If you’re looking for something to wear that’s stylish and would make a great statement at the same time, you should definitely go for an off the shoulder top. There are lots of off the shoulder top styles and designs to choose from ranging from the pieces that you can wear for casual outfits to those that can be used in creating fancier and dressier looks. If you’re wondering how to style off the shoulder tops, check out these ideas on what to wear with off the shoulder tops.

Skirt – if you’re a girly girl and an off the shoulder top isn’t feminine enough for you, take the girly factor up a notch by pairing it up with something cute and flirty like a skirt. Short skater skirts are great for adding that sweet and sexy vibe while full midi or maxi skirts let you dress up your off the shoulder top a bit so you can wear it to dressier dates and events. You can also wear it tucked into a high waisted, fitter pencil skirt to get that posh look that’s sure to make you steal the spotlight from any celeb or model off duty.

A statement necklace – if you have a gorgeous statement necklace that you want to show off, an off the shoulder top makes the perfect backdrop. Since there will be nothing on the chest / décolleté area, your necklace will be going up against bare skin and that creates such a sexy look and makes your necklace really stand out. Bib necklaces usually work best for these looks but you can do long and multi – layered necklaces as well.

A tank top underneath – got one of those slouchy off the shoulder tops that seem to always fall off more on one shoulder than the other? Or maybe you have a sheer one that needs something underneath so you can wear it out in public? Simply throw on a tank top underneath and use these off the shoulder tops as your workout clothes. You’re sure to be the envy of every girl at the gym.

FALLGUIDE: DRESS INSPIRATION

No matter what your age, dresses are a godsend. As you give thanks for one-stop-shop garments, stock your closet with these easy-to-wear finds for near effortless chic. Don’t worry we’ll make sure to cover all the age groups and show you what’s best for every age! Here are the best dresses for your 20′s

The little black dress - In college, you might have had sexy dresses to wear to sorority formals or to nights out, but you need something that’s a little more polished and sophisticated so you can wear it to a friend’s wedding or your company holiday party now. This little number shows off toned arms and legs, and defines the waist, but is nonetheless conservative enough to wear in front of your potential in-laws or your company CEO. Both timeless and trendy, it will remain a wardrobe staple well into your 30s.

The sweater dress - Falling temperatures are no reason to wear pants every day. Stay warm, cozy, and stylish by slipping a roomy knit over tights and knee-high boots. A great way to transition into the cooler months is to wear knits that are chunky and traditional, white and dark, graphic and solid. But be forewarned: sweater dresses hug you everywhere, and aren’t super-forgiving of bumps and lumps. Consider busting out shapewear to help with overall smoothing.

the shirt dress - For your entrance into the professional world, make it your goal to look appropriate while showcasing your feminine side. Shirtdresses are never frumpy or matronly when accessorized just right. Adding a thin belt to the waist can easily show off your your curves without being too clingy. Get extra mileage out of the dress by switching out the belt for a skinny cincher you already own.

Do you own these dresses right now? If not, you definitely should! These are the staples that will show off your curves in all the right places and work as wardrobe staples to get you from work to date night in a pinch!

Leather In Early Fall ?

Leather while it’s still warm outside? Yes please! Though you normally see leather outfits during the colder seasons like end of fall and winter, this edgy material works well during warm months, too. I know a lot of you out there are raising your eyebrows as you read this, but hear me out.
You can wear leather in early fall but you don’t have to wear it full on – actually you should never wear it ‘full on’. If you’re wondering how you can make this possible and if you’re looking for a way to add an edge to your warm weather looks, check out these cool ways to wear leather:
  1. Leather pants – another really cool way to wear leather this summer is to sport a pair of leather pants. Pair your leather pants with a sexy chic top for an outfit that you can wear when you go clubbing with your friends. Don’t forget to finish it off with a sleek pair of heels as well.

2. Leather vest – now, if you’re looking for a way to wear leather in the daytime this summer, how about wearing a nice leather vest to add a dash of cool to your chic summer outfit? You can wear it over a cute dress to get a look that’s perfectly mixed between girly and edgy or you can wear it on top of a tank top or a shirt to spruce up a simple outfit and give it more edge.

3.Leather bag – one of the easiest ways to wear leather is not to wear it per se but to carry it in the form of a leather purse. Leather purses are great for everyday use because they’re strong and they can withstand everyday wear and tear well. If you’re planning on getting a leather purse to use every day, invest in a good quality one. Cheap leather isn’t just worth the money at all.

FALLTREND: Varsity Jackets

Varsity jackets have a very preppy look and feel but that doesn’t mean preppy looks are the only ones you can create with these chic babies. There are lots of other looks you can achieve using a school varsity jacket. All you really have to do to get some variation is to pair it with different pieces every time.
You can also keep away from the traditional colors and get your hands on printed varsity jackets if you’re looking for a more unique and stylish look. There are also cropped varsity jackets that you can go for on days when you want a more contemporary look. If you have a varsity jacket or two sitting in your closet, check out these ideas on what to wear with a varsity jacket and see how you can make the most out of them.
1. Jeans – if you’re looking for a safe and foolproof way to rock your varsity jacket, simply pair it up with jeans and sneakers and you’re good to go. This outfit combination is a little reminiscent of those days back in school when you had no time to put together an outfit at all and you just grabbed a shirt, put on your jeans and threw a jacket on top. It’s quick, it’s easy, no frill, no fuss, just good ol’ plain and casual chicness. Finish off with heels for a more athletic overall look or wear heels to make it look more girly. To make your outfit more summer-friendly, remember that you can always switch up your jeans with Daisy Dukes.

2. Graphic shirt – for a cool and totally laidback look, wear your varsity jacket with a cute graphic shirt and then maybe pair it with comfy boyfriend jeans. This look is just what you need for a lazy weekend. -

You can also try wearing it with a simple shift dress to create a posh and preppy outfit.  Let me know Lady´s !! xo

Seeing your sunkissed glow begin to fade, needing a sweater in the evening and getting back to school means we’re preparing for the chilly months ahead. Despite the sadness you may feel saying goodbye to summer’s warm and sunny days, there’s lots to look forward to in the fall. In fact, many people swear by fall as their favorite time of year. From the gorgeous foliage to warm apple cider – the sights, smells and tastes of fall are just enough to get you excited about the fun season ahead. Here’s a look at the best of fall!

If you love the holidays, you’re in luck when fall rolls around. From Halloween festivities and costumes to a day of family and fun on Thanksgiving, fall is packed with holiday spirit. With a few extra days off from work and lots of time spent in the kitchen, fall feels festive from start to finish.

Miss those riding boots all summer? Well, now’s the time to throw on your favorite skinnies and best pair of knee-high boots for a weekend brunch or night out on the town – whatever the occasion, fall means bringing the boots out from the back of your closet.
