Swim Week Trends

In terms of beauty, Miami Swim Week is all about beachy, bronzy looks. Almost every model I saw walking down the runway had long wavy hair and some seriously tanned skin. But don’t think that’s all the shows had to offer—there’s definitely some variety. There were plenty of gorgeous looks and I’ve got some of my favorites listed below. Best Dressed at amfAR’s Paris Couture Party

Celebrities and fashion lovers alike made their way to amfAR’s Paris Couture soiree hosted by Donatella Versace. Naomi Campbell, Tory Burch Jennifer Garner all made an appearance at the party in support of amfAR and Versace. You know that when there’s a fashion party, there are going to be some fashionable looks worthy of mention. Below are some of my top picks for best dressed at the party. Jennifer Garner was spotted in a sleek black Atelier Versace dress alongside Donatella herself. I love both these looks. They’re very sleek. They fit right in at this event.

Naomi Campbell rocked a black, sheer deconstructed dress. She paired the look with some classic black pumps and her supermodel smile. Gorgeous as always.

Olivia Palmero posed alongside her husband in a red chiffon Versace number. I love the leg slits in this dress. It’s a fashion forward yet sexy look. It’s definitely notable.

Shanina Shaik wore a lilac gown to the event. It’s a classy dress that fits Shaik’s model-esque style. Check out that train!

Beauty: Fall Couture Runway 2016

Paris Fall Couture 2016 gave fashion designers an opportunity to show off their latest designs, conceptions and creative know-how and nothing was left to the imagination. Details were on full display this fall couture runway—especially when it came to beauty looks. Below I’ve got some top beauty looks from the couture shows held in Paris. A lot of the shows were all about the eyes. Some went for more uniform looks while others were up to interpretation. The models at the Alterier Versace show were given two very different looks. While some models were sent down the runway in wine-red lipstick and barely-there eyes, others donned a blue silvery cat-shaped eye shadow looks with nude lips.

Ralph and Russo went for a more dramatic effect sending models down the runway wearing sharp 80s inspired makeup practically reaching their eyebrows, along with braids that gave their models a futuristic look. Check it out down below.

Makeup artist, Peter Phillips of Dior gave models unique eyeliner looks, creating a different look for each model. They wore a variation on the classic cat liner interpreted in different shades and styles. Check out .

Chanel kept things uniform by giving their models the same doll-like appearance. By keeping the liner and lashes in the center of the eyes, makeup artist, Tom Pecheux managed to give Chanel’s models a wide-eyed appearance.

Alexis Mabile also sent models down the runway in doll-like looks. This time, opting for some Twiggy style lashes while keeping the rest of the face as natural looking as possible. An ode to the sixties, perhaps

How to Wear Denim Shorts

Denim shorts are a summer staple no matter who you are or what your body type is. It’s just too hot outside so we’ve all put away our skinny jeans and opted for some shorts instead. If you’re unsure on how to style those super cute denim shorts you bought just for the summer. I’ve got some tricks on how you can rock denim shorts and look trendy and fashionable while doing so. If you’re going for a casual, take a style note from Hilary Duff. She’s wearing her denim shirt with a relaxed baseball tee. To style her look, she’s gone for some fun accessories, including a floppy hat and a long rabbit’s foot necklace. It’s a very cute look, don’t you think?

I love how Kendall Jenner styled her denim shorts below. Use a top that shows off your bra or some unique shoes to help style your look in a way that speaks to your style.

Aside from her short-lived days as a platinum blonde, Taylor Swift is known for her all-American classic styles. She wears tailored skirts and dresses with sweet patterns on them and simple ballet flats as accessories. So it’s almost no surprise that she’d pair her denim shorts with a simple fitted top and her signature red lips.

Karlie Kloss went for a complete festival look in her denim shorts. Festivals are where you’re supposed to get creative so don’t be afraid to stand out in your denim shorts.
