he boho chic style is one of the defining styles of spring. A cross between bohemian and hippie looks, it converges the best of both fashion worlds. Unleash the inner goddess in you by outfitting your attire with these beautiful boho chic pieces for spring.

Flowy Blouse

A flowy blouse is the cornerstone of a boho chic style. This loose top is reminiscent of the 60’s decade when everything was fun and free. Because of its versatile style, it looks well with most bottoms. However, if you are opting for a pure boho chic style, then make sure to pair it with 70’s denim, which I’m going to discuss below.

70’s Denim
No boho chic style outfit is complete without the 70’s denim. Most often than not, the decade is likened to bell-bottom pants, although it can denote a button-down dress or a rustic skirt. These 70’s items are integral parts of any boho chic outfit, so make sure to use these pieces as often as you can.

Maxi Dress
When the word boho chic style comes to mind, most people immediately conjure an image of a spirited maxi dress. And why not? This long, loose dress is the epitome of boho dressing for spring! While a plain-colored maxi dress is enough to convey the bohemian vibe, it would not hurt if you got your hands on printed and graphic varieties. End the look with flat sandals or gladiators for a complete boho style.

Furry Vest
The boho chic style is known for its laidback flair. But if you want to add some ‘oomph’ to your outfit, then layer your attire with a plush furry vest. Whether it is worn with a maxi dress or a flowy top, it can instantly upgrade your look – so you can dress the part for a classy evening event.

Felt Hat
Another item that can add glamour to your boho chic style is a felt hat. Not only is it a chic headgear addition, it works to protect you as well! Wear your felt hat during particularly sunny days and you can get the stylish hippie look – sans the sun-burning UV rays.

Round Sunglasses
If you have already got your felt hat on, then why not wear a pair of round sunglasses as well? Like the felt hat, circular sunnies embody the laidback vibe of the boho chic style. Most importantly, this accessory works just as well – as it can protect your eyes from the damaging sun rays.

Stay positive

It’s easy to get down on ourselves. Sometimes life gets to us and that’s okay, but the trick is to figure out ways to get out of that funk. I’m a big believer in the idea that when you feel good, good things happen to you. Our thoughts create things, so when were feeling down or negative, our thoughts tend to stay negative, but when we’re able to look on the bright side, our thoughts and feelings reflect it. This helps make good things come to us. So how do we do it? How do we turn the coin when negative thoughts start to infect our worldview? Here are some quick tips that have helped me in the past and I do believe that they will help you too.

Smile- Seriously. Even when you’re feeling down, try to force a smile. Something that might help is biting on a pen or your finger. Studies have shown that even the fakest of smiles can help lift spirits and change your outlook.

Go For A Jog- If you can, fill the extra time in your day with some exercise. Go for a walk or a jog. Cardio is best. You’ll feel amazing afterwards and energized after. Plus, exercise releases endorphins so ride that workout high to help you feel better.

Be Grateful- Jot down all the things you’re thankful for or list them in your head. Reminding yourself of all the good in your life is a helpful tool to remember that things aren’t as bad as you think and that life is beautiful.

Let Your Feelings Out- It’s important that we don’t bottle up our negative feelings, so try to let them out the best you can. If you’re angry, try yelling into a pillow to help you get it out of your system. If you’re feeling down, then journal what you’re feeling to sort through it all. Take some deep breaths and then do your best to stay out of your head, and happy instead.
