Spring is officially here! Is your closet ready? If your closet is still filled with bland winter coats and dark neutrals, not to worry. You’re in good hands. Trench Coat- Trench coats are the ultimate spring essential. They make your favorite looks chic and stylish. You can pair your trench coat with almost any outfit to look fabulous! My pick is the trench coat from Topshop.

Basic White Tee- Add a white t-shirt into your wardrobe. Not only does it match with everything, but it can also make any look spring-ready and comfortable

A Printed Dress- Add a printed dress into your wardrobe! You’ve been wearing neutrals all winter long. It’s time to bring some color back into your style.

Fashion Tips From the Olsen Twins

The Olsen twins run their own fashion empire so you know they aren’t messing around when it comes to their own personal style. They’re all about unique silhouettes and perfectly curated menswear looks. They aren’t afraid to let their fashion chops show, which is one of the reasons I love their sense of style. Read on for some tips on how to dress like an Olsen twin. It’ll definitely give you a more fashionable closet.

Messy Hair Don’t Care- The Olsen twins don’t mess around when it comes to their hair. They keep it simple by just letting their natural tresses show. Do the same by embracing your natural texture. Put the blow dryer down and let your waves and curls free.

The Drapier the Better- The Olsen twins are known for their draped silhouettes. They usually go for loose looks that resemble menswear styles. For your closet go for gaucho pants and button downs. These basics will help give you that Olsen flair

When in Doubt, Wear Black- It’s rare to see an Olsen twin in anything other than black. They aren’t big on vibrant colors. They prefer dark shades and neutrals. Keep that in mind when trying to emulate their style.

Act Like You Own An Empire-To dress like an Olsen twin means that you have to act like you own a fashion empire of your own. Half their style is their super cool vibe. They aren’t afraid of being two confident women. Take after the Olsen twins and wear your fashion with the confidence of a CEO.

Trends That Are On Their Way Back

Within the last two years, we saw a reemergence of 90s trends in the world of fashion. Kendall and Kylie Jenner rocked the crop top, plaid was all the rage and overalls were considered “cool” again. It’s so funny how trends work. One second they’re in and the next, you never want to see them in your closet again. Like, for example, trends from the early 2000s. Who wants to see a velour tracksuit again? Well, it turns out 2000s fashion might be making its way back in small ways. Kendall and Kylie’s crop tops seem to be getting smaller and we’re trading in plaid for bubble skirts. Below are some of the 2000s trends that are slowly making their way back into fashion. Check them out below.

I remember rocking Spaghetti Straps in the summer time. I’d pair them with jeans and skirts. They were also a huge trend in dresses. Just check out the dress Selena Gomez wore recently. Do I spot some spaghetti straps?

When Bubble Skirts went out of fashion, I’d thought they’d stay out forever but then Alicia Vikander rocked a bubble skirt of her own to the 2016 Oscars. I guess I was wrong, maybe they are making their way back in?

Cowl Neck Sweaters have been spotted on celebrities and fashionistas like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Rosie Huntington Whitely as of late. They’re actually a flattering fashion statement. I don’t mind seeing these make their way back into the mainstream. Tracksuits were seen all throughout fashion month. Streetwear in general seems to be a huge trend right now. Would you rock this trend?

Sure, Crop Tops have been a major trend over the last few years, but now they seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Remind you of anything? Yup, the early 2000s saw plenty of super-short crop tops so it’s time to tone that body or rock it with your baby bump like Chrissy Teigen. Anything goes these days

Spring Trends to Love

Spring is just around the corner bringing us warmer temperatures, and of course, spring fashion trends. This is why I wanted to bring you my spring trends recap. What will spring 2016 bring in terms of style? Read on to find out.  I’ve got all the runway trends along with pieces that you can try at home! Check them out and be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section! Are you ready for spring trends?

Cold Shoulder- Cold shoulder cut outs were on almost every runway during Spring 2016 fashion week, which is why I think they’ll definitely make their way into your closet this season.

To rock a cold shoulder cut out, check out this ASOS Border Lace Cold Shoulder Dress. It’s got a boho vibe with just the right cold shoulder detail. I am loving this new trend. It’s flattering yet creates some unique shapes and silhouettes which is exactly what I love in a fashion trend.

Spring Stripes- Designers like Stella McCartney, Dior and Tommy Hilfiger incorporated stripes of all sorts into their collections. Wide, thin, horizontal, vertical, so expect to see plenty of stripes in stores this spring.

Street Wear– Collections were chalk full of bomber jackets, sweat pants and sneakers. Just check out this look from Rag and Bone’s collection below.

Canadian Tuxedo- Expect to see denim-on-denim looks this spring. Remember, to rock a denim look, you’ve got to focus on pairing different shades.

Rules to Wearing Ripped Jeans

Ripped jeans can make you look like a style maven, that is, if you can pull them off. Sometimes ripped jeans can create a sloppy effect to your outfit. When I see a pair of jeans that are too ripped or paired with too many accessories, a part of me cringes. It’s time to wear your ripped jeans with style. It’s all about wearing the right pair with the right accents! Read on to find out my tips on how to rock the perfect pair of ripped jeans.

Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section. Are you a fan of ripped jeans? Let me know!

We don’t need to see a whole area of your leg through your jeans. I love an edgy look, but cleaner rips seem more believable and look chicer. My ripped jeans pick? JCrew Factory Astor Wash Boyfriend Jean. They’ve got just the right wash and subtle rips to make you look edgy but classic at the same time.

Over accessorizing with a pair of ripped jeans looks messy. Keep things simple with a blazer or a fitted top. It’ll give your outfit that classic appeal while making you look fabulous at the same time.

Focus on a key accent or accessory like a belt or some statement jewelry. I love the western style belt below. It’s exactly what you need to style your ripped jeans to perfection.

Roll your jeans to create a neater silhouette that’ll look great with a pair of pumps or boots . I love wearing boots  with rolled up jeans

Street Style from Milan Fashion Week

We look to Milan for the best in Italian designer wear, Vibrant styles and mod designs ruled the runway this season, but my eyes were on the pre and post catwalk looks worn by fashionistas all over Milan. Left and right girls were rocking looks so unique and trendy, they made you do a double take. I’ve compiled some of the best looks below. Check them out and be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section! Which look is your favorite?

I’m loving the bright yellow outfit below. I could see those boots being an homage to the late great David Bowie. Either way, it’s definitely the type of look that’ll get you noticed..

Way to layer! Love all the unique textures and patterns that came together to create this look. Add a some giant sunglasses and you’ve got the perfect Milan Fashion Week look.

Would you rock a turtleneck beneath a dress? The fashionista below did and to great results. Her mod look is too on-trend to not love.

Those bright colors and patterns really make a statement. I’m definitely coveting that fur red jacket. It’s bright, fun and funky all at the same time.

Streetstyle Snaps New York

With NYFW comes amazing style from celebrities and show-goers alike. Every fashionista the world has to offer comes out to celebrate the next season’s newest trends. With the advent of the Internet we get a sneak peek of everything that’s going on, even on the streets! Yup, I’m bringing you all the best street style looks and details from NYFW. Check out all the looks below and be sure to leave me a message in the comments section. Which is your favorite look?

The main style staple at fashion week? Textured outerwear. It seemed as though everywhere you turned there was a velvet, fur or shag jacket. Check out the shag coat on the fashionista below. She paired it with a yellow and black button down dress.

It’s all in the details when it comes to fashion week, which is one of the reasons I love the jacket below. It’s such a cheeky statement. It’s all about having fun with style during fashion week.

I love the striped dress below. She paired it with a simple white jacket and black boots. It’s a unique look, but one that pays off.

Fashion week always gives me the best styling ideas. To create some unique texture, wear a pair of lace stockings under ripped jeans. The lace comes out in all the right places. Just check out the look below for inspiration.
