Cannes 2016: Kendall Jenner’s Hottest Looks

Kendall Jenner has made it her priority to look fabulous as every event that Cannes has had to offer this year. She has worn gorgeous outfit after gorgeous outfit, leaving me sartorially speechless. The girl knows how to rock a red carpet, but this week, she seems to be putting a little extra work in. If you’ve yet to see some of Kendall’s looks from Cannes 2016, don’t fret, I’ve got them all below. Read on to check out her looks. I’ve even got some pieces to help you create one of her looks at home.

Kendall wore this starry blue jacket and fringed skirt to the Vanity Fair Party With Chopard. I love how this look is subtle, yet sexy and fabulous at the same time. It definitely fits Kendall’s glamorous style.

She wore a simple Emilia Wickstead jumpsuit to a Magnum event as the brand’s spokesmodel. She paired the look with some classic cat eye sunglasses to shield her eyes from that French Riviera sun.
Kendall wore Versace to a Magnum event with her mom, Kris Jenner. This has to be my top Cannes look. Kendall’s sleek hairstyle and simple makeup really help to top off this look. This is definitely Kendall at her most model-esque. What do you think of this look?

Lastly, Kendall knocked everyone out by wearing a black sheer Roberto Cavalli number to the premiere of The Land of The Moon. Stunning.

Famous Fashion Quotes to Live By

I love a good quote. Sometimes those few wise words are all I need to get into the right mindset to take on my day or get over a slump. Words are powerful. They carry weight. And when they’re wielded by the people we admire, they can change minds and shatter misconceptions. If you’re reading this blog, chances are you admire the fashion set just as much as I do. I appreciate designers and fashion pro’s as artists in their own right – not everyone can think as freely or as creatively as some of these fashion piomeers. So in honor of the men and women who dare to think outside the box, I’m sharing some of my favorite fashion quotes. I hope they give you an extra kick in your heel, a bit more finesse in your stilettos. As we all know, attitude is everything. xoxo

Restyle: New Ways to Wear a T-Shirt

So you’re tired of wearing the same old t-shirt the same old way? I hear ya! Sometimes, we get stuck in a style rut, especially when it comes to staple styles. We get used to rocking them the same ways because—well, why mess with perfection when it comes to the t-shirt? Perfection is boring! Play up your basic t-shirt! Restyle that basic staple to fit your ever-changing style. Unsure of where to start? Below, I’ve got some tips to help you change up that t-shirt. Read on to find out more and be sure to let me know what you think of this post in the comments section!

Knot It- Make like Kendall Jenner and create a knot for a more fitted look. Try this out with your favorite t-shirt when you pair it with something high waist. This style would definitely look cool with a maxi skirt for a boho chic effect.

After Party Vintage Essential Tee in Oliva, $48.00– The grungy shirt below might be just what you need to take Kendall’s knotted style to the next level.

Oversized- One of the biggest trends for spring is to wear oversized t-shirts over leggings or short-shorts. Add your favorite pair of sneakers to this look for a street wear inspired outfit. You’ll be majorly on trend. Even Rihanna approves of this look!

Barely Tucked- Wear your simplest tee to create this look. It’s all about looking chic before haphazardly tucking in your shirt into your jeans to make your final look perfectly imperfect. Rosie Huntington Whitely is all about this style. Check her out below.

My beautiful, Eva Longoria made a statement in Marchesa.

Sophia Loren beams as she leaves the festival. If I was in that dress, I’d be beaming too!

Jennifer Aniston went for a sleek form-fitting dress to Cannes in the early 2000s

Beauty Looks From Bridal Week

This week, I shared a post on how to get a look from New York Bridal Fashion Week at home. Miami bridal stylist, Niurka Mendoza owner of salon Styles by NM shared her tips on how to get this gorgeous tousled hair look. Today, Mendoza is going to help you achieve a classic updo as seen on the New York Bridal Week runway. Check out the look below and let me know if you try this look at home.
The braided look below seems complex, but according to Mendoza, it’s all about perfecting that technique. “The braided look, it’s a little more complex because if you don’t know how to braid your hair yourself it’s not going to be easy for you. YouTube has great tutorials on brides which is always a plus.”
  1. Start off with curled hair to create some texture. To decrease frizziness, Mendoza suggests reaching for a pomade before sectioning your hair into two parts, the crown and the nape. Start off by pinning you hair from your crown to the top of your head as you’ll be working with hair from the nape of your neck.
  2. “Put the hair at the nape into a medium high pony tail. Use bobby pins to pin sections of your hair onto the scalp in order to create a soft bun effect.”
  3. Now that you’re done with the bottom section of your hair, you want to focus on those intricate braids. “Part the top section of your hair down the middle and begin a French braid on each side so that you have a middle part and two French braids. Bring the braids to the back to overlap the bun. Secure with pins and spray with Moroccan oil spray to keep the hair in place.”

Today, I’ve brought together some celebrity looks to inspire your spring wardrobe. Check them out and be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section.

Rock Those Florals- Spring is in the air which means it’s time to add florals into your wardrobe! Below, Miranda Kerr is rocking the most gorgeous floral skirt out there. Rock a similar look by adding florals into your outfit.

Wear White- Winter white is out. It’s time to wear all your white spring dresses and looks like the lace dress on Gigi Hadid below. Gorgeous!

Beyoncé’s Stunning Lemonade Outfits

Beyoncé’s visial album Lemoade was everything I wanted and more. There’s no question that the singer delivered an incredible album full of gorgeous visuals. One thing that I couldn’t help but notice was the fashion. Every shot of this album was gorgeous, creative and hands down amazing, but the fashion is what truly blew me away. Below I’ve got some of Bey’s best looks. Check them out and be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section. Which look is your favorite?

This dress by Roberto Cavalli was definitely a scene-stealer. It was eye-catching and the most notable look from the whole Lemonade experience.

Loving this strong Gucci suit on the singer. It definitely adds to the whole Lemonade experience.

Here Beyoncé is surrounded by some gorgeous babes in a Rosie Assoulin off-the-shoulder top. It’s definitely got a unique design.

This look has got a street wear vibe. She’s wearing a Yeezy crop top and high waist pants along with a Hood by Air fur coat. Gorgeous.

In “Sorry,” Beyoncé rocks a cone bra and an ancient Egyptian inspired hairstyle. This look added some interesting and eye-catching shapes to the scene.

New York Bridal Week: The Short Wedding Dress Trend

New York Bridal Week brought us a ton of gorgeous bridal looks. In terms of trends, there were plenty of floral embellishments, lingerie inspired styles, hi-low skirts and short dresses. Yes, you read that right. Short dresses were definitely all over Bridal Week and they’re brining a new twist to some old traditions. I’ve fallen in love with this trend because it’s new, fresh and perfect for the alternative bride. Below, I’ve compiled some of my favorite short dresses from New York Spring 2017 Bridal Week. Check them out below.

Berta- I love this dress because it’s got a modern vibe with some vintage flair. That tea length skirt is perfect if you’re a bride looking for a dress with some retro trimmings.

Oscar de la Renta- The design below is so sweet. It combines the short-dress trend with some 3D floral embellishments. It’s definitely a classic dress.

Ines Di Santo- Show some leg witout sacrificing length in this Ines Di Santo design. It’s definitely got a fashion forward yet chic style. Very unique.

Monique Lhuillier- Monique Lhuillier is the biggest name in bridal so it’s almost no surprise that this short dress is the most gorgeous of the bunch. It’s all about that simple design and flared skirt. I also love the crop top effect.

Mira Zwillinger- The “nude” dress has gone bridal. This dress is definitely for the alternative girl who loves to be on-trend.
