Colourblock Looks

Without a doubt, colour-blocking is a bold and fun way to dress! The secret is to make sure the focus remains on you and not solely the style technique.

You may recall the height of Color-blocking trends popularity first in the 1960’s and later in the 1980’s. This past season designers revisited color-blocking techniques and ended up creating some exciting modern styles.

The public and press fell head over heels with the look, so designers continued the trend throughout their winter collections. There are three techniques to styling a colour-blocked outfit – select one:

1. Monochromatic = one color throughout entire outfit in different hues.

2. Separates = mix garments of contrasting (2-4) colors.

3. Stand-Alone = one color-blocked garment or accessory where the designer has already done all the work for you.

How to Ace Effortless Style

Effortless style is meant to be—well, effortless. Yet, why does it feel so impossible to accomplish? Yup, looking effortless is no easy task, which is why I wanted to bring you my own guide on how to ace effortless style. Read on and let me know what you think in the comments section. What does effortless style mean to you?

Find Your Effortless Look Idol- Whose style do you absolutely covet? Is it Emma Watson’s chic yet girly style, or are you more of a fan of Sofia Coppola’s Parisian inspired looks? Whoever it is, look to them for help. Find your favorite outfits that they’ve worn and create a collage. Try to emulate them the best you can.

Think Chic- Aim for classy, chic looks. Simplicity is where it’s at when it comes to effortless style. Just check out Emma Watson in her look below. When you ‘think chic,’ you become chic.

It’s All in The Details- To ace effortless style you need to remember the details. It’s all about the little things. Rock a cuffed jean with a half-tucked in plaid shirt. Drape your sweater over your shoulders and make it seem like you barely thought about it.

How To Wear Camo Print

Camouflage doesn’t just belong in the army. Real and pseudo-military garb is hitting the city streets and campus walkways this year, with everything from jackets to hats to shoes. If you want to embrace this trend, look for unexpected ways, like my suggestions below, to bring out your inner GI Jo(anna).

Camo Jacket with Everything! – No matter if you’re rocking a miniskirt, some ripped jeans, or a full-length tutu, a camo jacket will be the right balance of print to neutral every time ...

Camo Skinny Jeans – Perfect for pairing with a muscle tank and beaded sandals for summer and then boots and a blazer for fall, these pants will definitely get some good use!

How will you rock camo this season? Comment below with your style suggestions! xo

HERBST TREND : NADELSTREIFEN
