Angelina Jolie In Guerlain’s New Campaign

A month ago was announced that Terrence Malick was planning to direct a perfume commercial for Guerlain starring Angelina Jolie. As the new face of the French company’s campaign for their fragrance Mon Guerlain, Jolie is donating her entire paycheck to a charity of her choosing, and now they’ve kicked things off with the launch of the ad.

We create perfumes for the women we admire,” Jacques Guerlain said in a statement, whilst the brand’s master perfumer Thierry Wasser said he drew inspiration from Jolie to create a fragrance expressing the “notes of a woman”. The campaign film is directed by Terrence Malick.

Mon Guerlain, the house’s new fragrance, is a tribute to today’s femininity – a strong, free and sensual femininity, inspired by Angelina Jolie. Mon Guerlain is characterized by the freshness of Lavender Carla, an exceptional variety cultivated in Provence, which contrasts with the voluptuousness of the Sambac jasmine from India and the Australian Album Sandalwood, associated with the sensual Vanilla Tahitensis of Papua New Guinea.

Women - I make it my way

I believe that we all came on this Earth to fulfill a purpose. We all have that flame or that obsession, dream or goal in us that just won’t go out. That’s why I find it so refreshing when women fulfill that purpose while doing it on their own terms. Their success is attributed to their hard work and talent, but they also tend to shine a little light on their amazing personalities as well. Here are some amazing women who are out there finding success on their own terms. Who are your personal female heroines? Are any on this list? Let me know in the comments!

Leandra Medine- Leandra Medine liked style. She liked style, but for her. She was sick of reading content on the Internet about “butt boosting” or “clothes to get a man’s attention.” She liked her style simply because she liked it and she wasn’t about to sacrifice that fact for any man. She created her blog, The Man Repeller, to showcase that style that wasn’t exactly meant to boost anything. Her blog is a success and she is now a major face in the fashion industry.

Sheryl Sandberg
- Sheryl Sandberg is Facebook’s COO. She wrote Lean In because she was sick of hearing that she couldn’t be a high-level business executive while also advocating for women. She decided to try both and now Lean In is a major bestseller and those naysayers are biting their tongues.

Angelina Jolie - Angelina Jolie is more than just an actress; she’s a world-renowned public figure. In order to use her big name to use, Jolie has become an advocate for women while also discussing her own life as a woman. She is also a humanitarian, constantly speaking out and fighting for those who cannot. She’s always done it on her terms, whether or not Hollywood was ever willing to listen.

TRENDGUIDE: PENCIL SKIRT

Women have the power to dominate in the corporate world and dressing the part is one of the perks. There’s no use in getting caught up in the pants game when there are so many beautiful skirt options available. As with most things, you just have to think outside the box. So, this season it is all about the polished and professional pencil skirt! A simple, yet sophisticated piece every woman should own; the power of a pencil skirt lies in the tailored fit that showcases our natural feminine silhouette.
  • Make sure it is tailored to your body type. This piece is built around the fact that it highlights your waist – take your pencil skirt to a local tailor to ensure a proper fit in your hips and waist every time.
  • Before purchasing, check to see that the length is appropriate for work by sitting down and checking the rise. Also note that these skirts commonly come with a slit either in the center back or near the side – be sure it’s not too revealing. There’s nothing worse than having to readjust yourself every time you stand up or sit down.
Here some ideas how to wear this piece to the office:

In a field often monopolized by men, this corporate workday look brings an edge to your feminine presence and will make you stand out as a key player. Don’t blend into a room full of grey slacks – exercise your womanhood using this elegant garment. xo
