HOW TO WEAR SHORTS INTO NEXT SEASON

I don’t know about you, but my girl friends like  to wear shorts until the last possible second. Considering the weather has still been warm and sunny, they have  been scheming on how to get away with wearing shorts as the seasons change. I love the edginess of this outfit (if cutoffs aren’t your thing, try a plain black pair) and it’s perfect for a hot summer night out on the town. With one chic addition of a tuxedo blazer, the look makes a seamless transition into fall. xo

It's time for a haircut

Time for a Haircut? 4 Tips for Knowing When

For some of us, getting a haircut is a big step. Even if you know you need a trim, you love your long locks so much that it’s tough to admit it’s time for a cut. You may be trying to grow your hair to have the gorgeous waves and lengths of superstars (I totally get that!) and you don’t want to disrupt the growth process. Here’s the good news: you can keep the number of cuts to a minimum, but you still need a couple of trims every year.  Here’s the scoop to help you decide if it’s time for a trim!

  • When split-ends start taking over. Split ends can leave your hair looking stringy and flat, while a quick trim will bring back your full, thick look.
  • When the tangles are too much. Stringy, split ends will result in more knots. And, when it’s tough to get the brush through, it’s time to get spruced.
  • If your hair has a triangle shape. When your hair starts to grow into the shape of a Christmas tree down your back, it’s time to get the scissors out.
  • If your gorgeous locks start looking flat. If you have to resort to loads of product and your at-home blowout just doesn’t look quite right – it’s probably time for a cut.
How about you – is it time for a cut?

THE BEST WAY TO REDUCE SKIN REDNESS

Low moisture, harsh winds and constantly moving from warm to cold to warm temperatures are just some of the reasons why we deal with (super annoying!) red skin in the winter.
This time of year is also prime for picture-taking so I thought it would be helpful for everyone if I shared the best way to reduce skin redness! Try these remedies and I promise you’ll have an even-toned, flawless face in no time.

  • Use a vitamnin E intensive moisturizer  or chamomile lotion to sooth the skin
  • Participating in outdoor sports? Try a thicker balm on your cheeks to prevent windburn. And of course, cover up with a bandana or scarf!
  • If you find yourself getting flustered or feeling puffy from the changing of temperatures (cold in your car, warm in your office), stay away from salt and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
  • You can also spritz your face with a  calming facial mist
  • Use concealer with a green tint  to neutralize the redness.
And if these ways to reduce skin redness aren’t working for you, please book an appointment with your dermatologist to rule out eczema, rosacea or skin allergies that may be causing the persistent problem. xo

Fall Trend : Colour Swatch

Look to the catwalk´s winning combinations for your perfect two-tone palette....

Victoria Beckham´s LEMOn + BISCUIT : the right shade of yellow can light up your face, the wrong one can make you look jaundiced....work it with a geometric-print shoe!

Jonathans Saunders´ ROSE + TOMATO: opt for minimal pieces in pink and red; Blocks of color look fresh as do strong prints, florals, however, are too country-house cushion......

Antipodium´s GREY + PEA GREEN: Cue a fish´n chips craving: mushy pea green and grey are traditionally more masculine hues, pair with floral prints and kooky details......

Keep swatting :-)

Here are seven pieces that made the cut and the best part is that they are all under € 100! Xoxo
