Trend Guide: Haare - Update

was tragen unsere Haare?

STYLING INSPIRED BY NICOLE RICHIE ON THE AMA RED CARPET

Nicole Richie has become such a fashion icon and I always find myself wanting to copy her looks from head to toe – so glam, so gorgeous. Every. Single. Time. The reality star turned designer looked stunning  at the AMAs in Emilio Pucci and her own House of Harlow clutch so I decided to steal her look for less, but with my own spin on it ;) Shop her style from the red carpet below! xo

SHOES & BAGS for less

If you’re in the market for a pair of luxury fall shoes and a classic handbag, then the right side is definitely for you! You can’t go wrong with this season’s hottest over-the-knee boot, a black satchel or leopard wedge. But if you want to save some cash and would rather not splurge, I’ve found three other options – all just as gorgeous but at a much more affordable price point.

  • OVER THE KNEE BOOT / Nine West ($189) vs Stuart Weitzmann  ($598)
  • BLACK SATCHEL / H&M ($25) vs Givenchy ($2,125)
  • LEOPARD WEDGE / Modcloth  ($37) vs  Christian Louboutin  ($925)
Happy shopping! xo

LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGS - how to wear ?

Leopard print leggings are not for the fashion faint of heart but if you’re set on trying these trendy bottoms, here are a few of my tips. When trying to style different ways to wear leopard print leggings, think basics, basics and more basics according to the season. Here’s my go-to look right now for fall with a fabulous pair I picked up .

  • Oversized tops. Balance out the skin-tight leggings with an oversized sweater or tank top and boyfriend cardigan in neutral shades.
  • Plain shoes. You don’t want too much happening all at once so stick with one color footwear like brown loafers and a black riding boot or pump.
  • Pop of color. Throw in an accessory in a complimentary shade of red, green, blue or beige.

And remember to only wear something you feel comfortable in! The key to wearing something that seems outrageous on the hanger is confidence ! xo

40 - so what !!

40 is the new 20 ! By the time you have reached 40, you are a confident, successful and strong woman. At this point, you’ve had a whole bunch of practice with life and people around you know it. Looking your best in your 40’s means you can leave the nonsense behind and show off your alpha status at work and at home. Getting older isn’t about getting rid of gray hairs (hm.. maybe), it’s actually theperfect time to shine! Here are my  tips for looking your best after hitting the 4-0.

  • Looking your best at 40 is all about your attitude and using clothing to subtly show off your figure. Try wearing pieces that elongates your body like a gorgeous v-neck blouse and dark wash jeans  Streamlined, sheath dresses are appropriate at the office and comfy, fluid tops for the weekend will leave everyone jealous of your sexy, refined look.
  • Remember that your skin is different now than it was two decades ago and change your skincare routine accordingly. Being diligent about wearing SPF and applying anti-aging serums are your best resource. Also, make sure you are hydrated enough because dry skin = older looking skin.
  • When it comes to makeup , keeping it simple will actually help your skin look more youthful.
  • Exercises  is key for a long and healthy life! You don’t have to go crazy at the gym but joining a pilates class or walking group will not only boost your confidence but keep your waistline in check as you get older.
  • Find a good role model. We all look up to a certain celebrity or public figure and women like Jennifer Lopez or Michelle Obama  are all examples of successful, stunning women who have embraced their age.
Growing older doesn’t mean it’s time to give up; it’s time to have confidence in your own beauty. Ladies, how do you feel about looking your best at 40? Do you have any tricks to share?
