Get Cozy: Best Knits For Fall

No doubt about it: Gone are the days of sundresses, sandals, cut-offs, and crop tops (insert thumbs-down emoji here).  It might be brisk out there, but I’ve got the perfect reason to wipe away that post-summertime sadness: sweater weather. Because who doesn’t love a cozy sweater? Um, basically no one. They are exactly the kind of thing that people get “excited” for during fall. There’s something about a giant, oversized pullover or soft, luxe cardigan that just brings a sense of warmth and comfort on a crisp fall day. Add in a pair of killer boots, a hat and a nice hot beverage, and you’re set to take on fall like a pro. From stripes to prints to cable-knits, I rounded up the coziest sweaters to brave fall’s chilly weather in style.

Get ready for boot season, that’s no doubt that there is always a place for Stuart Weitzman’s boot, rock the season with sultry scene-stealers that demand a double-take.

The designer chimes in on his fall icons, and why over-the-knee boots have never been more critical to your wardrobe.

We all knew that Gigi Hadid  kills it in the gym, but at the shoe brand’s latest campaign shoot, she showed off her kickboxing skills and a whole lot of leg.

Taylor Swift showed off her amazing figure and gorgeous legs in that show-stopping pair of Stuart Weitzman boots during New York Fashion Week.

Rules to Wearing Ripped Jeans

Ripped jeans can make you look like a style maven, that is, if you can pull them off. Sometimes ripped jeans can create a sloppy effect to your outfit. When I see a pair of jeans that are too ripped or paired with too many accessories, a part of me cringes. It’s time to wear your ripped jeans with style. It’s all about wearing the right pair with the right accents! Read on to find out my tips on how to rock the perfect pair of ripped jeans.

Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section. Are you a fan of ripped jeans? Let me know!

We don’t need to see a whole area of your leg through your jeans. I love an edgy look, but cleaner rips seem more believable and look chicer. My ripped jeans pick? JCrew Factory Astor Wash Boyfriend Jean. They’ve got just the right wash and subtle rips to make you look edgy but classic at the same time.

Over accessorizing with a pair of ripped jeans looks messy. Keep things simple with a blazer or a fitted top. It’ll give your outfit that classic appeal while making you look fabulous at the same time.

Focus on a key accent or accessory like a belt or some statement jewelry. I love the western style belt below. It’s exactly what you need to style your ripped jeans to perfection.

Roll your jeans to create a neater silhouette that’ll look great with a pair of pumps or boots . I love wearing boots  with rolled up jeans

Boots by Body Type

Cool fall weather signals the start of boot season. Chances are, it’s time to give your footwear a serious reboot. With so many twists on the boot—from ankle boots, booties and flats to over-the-knee, wedge and stiletto—there’s a perfect style (or two, or three) for every body shape. Ready boots? Start walkin’.

Pear Shaped Girls: Wedges & Riding Boots

When your lower half is a bit larger, try looking for boot styles with a slight heel to give you a little a lift and help lengthen those stems. Steer clear of anything thigh-high or over-the-knee because they take up too much real estate. You never want to completely cover up a shapely leg – sometimes that only makes them seem bigger. Instead, flaunt them! When you keep legs bare, it maximizes a slim silhouette. All bootie or wedge styles are fair game, but super clunky, chunky heels are your foe. Pair a fun riding boot with an A-line skirt or wear it with your favorite pair of jeans for a shot of equestrian cool.

For Girls Who Are Top Heavy: Rain Boots & Thigh Highs

Since your legs are one of your best assets, inverted triangle shapes can work a variety of boot trends. Try a great flat boot or a motorcycle style for some attitude. Be ambitious! Maximize your leg length with styles that have vertical seams or laces – they draw long lines which, in turn, make legs appear even longer. The slight quarter-inch heel of a sleek pair of thigh high boots will help to make them look a lot less “Pretty Woman” and more “trendy fashionista.”

For The Hourglass Figured Girls: Booties & Knee-High Boots

When you have enviable curves, a bootie or knee-high style is ideal to show off your shape. Anything thigh-high or over-the-knee may compete with your curves and won’t look sleek and polished. Your figure does a lot of the talking and can give a paper bag a sense of sexiness, so choose simple, classic styles that streamline those killer curves. Anything that tapers to your leg will always flatter the most. Looking  for the perfect bootie to show off your hourglass curves? Choose a super chic pair possibly in of-the-moment oxblood; go for some zipper embellishments on a cute ankle-grazing bootie for a fun look this season. xo

How To Wear Ankle Booties

Ankle boots are the best way to wear boots in the summer but they’re even better to wear during fall. If you’re not into high cut boots – thigh high and knee high ones – ankle boots are definitely for you. They keep your feet warm and dry without restraining movement in your legs unlike most high cut boots. How do you give them that fall-friendly look, though, you ask? Here are some ideas on what to wear with ankle boots in fall.
MINI SKIRT– a mini skirt in fall? Yes, you read that right and no, we haven’t gone crazy. A mini skirt looks really cute and sexy with ankle boots but they can leave you feeling a little cold in fall so pair the combo up with a cozy sweater or a cute jacket for a comfy and stylish outfit during the earlier days of fall. When the temps drop even lower, you can wear tights underneath so that your legs don’t freeze off while you’re out in the cold. The combination of ankle boots and a mini skirt is sure to make your legs look longer so if you’re petite, this one should be on your ‘must-wear’ list.
CROPPED PANTS – got really nice ankle boots? Well, they’re not gonna make a statement unless you showcase them in your outfit and if wearing a skirt is not an option for you, you can opt for cropped pants instead. Choose for a pair that’s about one to two inches, tops, cut above your boots. Any higher and your outfit might turn into a hot mess.
JOGGER PANTS – another big trend for fall this year is the jogger pant. If you’re going for the athleisure look, the combination of jogger pants and ankle boots is the one for you. Ankle pants will take away some of the athletic vibe of your jogger pants and give it more of a street style chic look. Depending on what look you want to achieve, you can wear anything from a simple tee to a sweater or a really dressy top.

SHIFT DRESS – need a basic foundation to layer your outfit on? If you’re looking for something more girly and posh, you can try starting off your outfit with the combination of a shift dress and ankle boots. Depending on how warm and how complex you want your outfit to be, you can go ahead and pile on the layers. This combo is fool proof and guaranteed chic, even a newbie at layering can pull it off.

Perfect Color Couple

Black is a timeless and elegant color, yet it can be boring at times. So if you want to say goodbye to your usual black attire, then you ought to try brown. Classic and sophisticated, this hue is a lovely replacement for the usual neutral colors. Create a unique style with brown pieces by wearing them with these complementing colors:

LIGHT BLUE

Brown and light blue is a match made in fashion heaven. The contrast between the shades makes it a lovely combo for casual cahoots.

ARMY GREEN

A great way to show your love for nature – erstwhile channeling the military or safari chic look – is to pair your brown pieces with army green items.

BURGUNDY

If you are looking for a unique dark color to pair with brown, then try burgundy. With its brownish undertones, these colors will surely jive with each other.

What To Wear To Coachella 2015

The Coachella Festival is a music and arts celebration held yearly at Indio, California. Started in 1999, this annual festivity is known for its wide range of musicians – and the unique fashion styles channeled by its performers and spectators. Prepare yourself for this year’s Coachella Festival by dressing up in looks inspired by the hip and edgy fete.

MAGNIFICENT IN A MAXIIf you want a fuss-free outfit that will let you do what you want, whenever you want – then go for a maxi dress. This flowy attire is sure to make you look ethereal, so wear it hardware! Good examples include statement accessories and thick bangles.

NICE IN NEONSimilar to Coachella’s luminescent displays are the neon wears of its performers, as well as the watchers. After all, you will want to stand out in a sea of music/art fanatics. While neon pieces are perfect options, you don’t necessarily have to be in a highlighter-like outfit. Neon accessories, such as funky jewelries or a bright bag, will keep you true to the Coachella tradition as well.

FINE IN A FLOPPY HAT

The Californian sun can be unforgiving, so make sure to wear a floppy hat. This boho chic accessory gives you the license to wear your hair in a sexy yet unkempt, bedhead manner.

FRESH IN A FLORAL HEADBAND

The Coachella festival style is reminiscent of the 70’s and boho chic. Of course, the best way to channel these styles – and unleash the inner wild child in you – is to wear a floral headband.

At it has been said, you can expect the California sun to shine down on you this coming Coachella festival. Keep your eyes protected – and amazing – with a unique pair of sunglasses.

BEAUTIFUL IN BOOTIES

If your boots are made for walking, then make sure to wear them at the 2015 Coachella festival. With its versatile look, you can wear it with basically everything. Whether it’s a short shorts or an elegant maxi dress, it’s sure to look great with your summer booties.

Boots For Every Body Type

You might like those boots on sale but before you buy them, know this: boots can be specific on body types as well. Avoid the mistake of investing on the wrong footwear by reading this guide.

HOURGLASS SHAPE

You might be able to wear any kind of garment available, but when it comes to boots, it is the complete opposite . Round-toe boots with sturdy cone heels – with platforms or none – are best for your body type.

BANANA SHAPE

Have an athletic or rectangular-shaped body? Even with your lack of curves, you can create the illusion of shape with stiletto-heel boots. Embellished designs are great for your shape, as long as you steer away from models with chunky buckles. Got long legs? Flatter your stature by going with flat boots.

APPLE SHAPE

Fine-tune your rounded shape by wearing wedge boots. They work with slim legs or thick calves. Chunky-heeled boots also work well with apple-shaped girls. Embellished and buckled boots are favorable for curvaceous ladies as well.

PEAR SHAPE

Because of your shapely hips and butt, the best boots for you are knee-length ones. The length is ideal for your body type since it makes your legs look longer and leaner. To create a slimmer look, wear a dress that is similar to the color of your knee-length boots.

PLUS SIZE

Worried about your shape? With the right boots, you can look slimmer instantly. Ankle-length boots that go below the knees are the best choices for plus size ladies

Gifts Inspiration for Fashionable Friends

While getting what you want is definitely going to anyone’s Christmas merrier, I think we can all agree that giving is something that makes us feel just as good, too. I personally have started to think about and list down the things that I want to give my family and my friends so I can go buy them once the list is complete. Right now, I’m completing the list for my girl friends, most of whom are obsessed with fashion, so I thought I’d share with you what I found that I thought any fashion lover would lover. Check out our Christmas Gift Guide 2014 for fashionable finds for your style-loving friends.
  • A COMFY SWEATER – Christmas sweaters are cute and all but you’ll want to give your friends something that they can wear even after Christmas has gone. A cute and comfy sweater is something that I know a lot of women will appreciate so if you’re looking for something to give to a friend, scour the stores for a cute and comfy sweater.

  • BOOTS – know someone who goes crazy over shoes? Why not help them build their collection and give them a pair of gorgeous boots for Christmas? Over the knee boots are quickly becoming the latest trend in fashion so get one for your friend who loves to make a statement. Or maybe go for a pair of ankle boots so she can wear them all year round.

  • JEWELRY – if you have a friend who loves to dress up all the time, I’m sure they’ll appreciate receiving some new accessories, especially jewelry as these tend to really take any outfit up a notch. Of course, you’ll want to match the jewelry you give to your friends’ personalities.

How To Wear Fringe

Fringes are something we all so easily associate with summer and this may be because of the fact that fringes are so overly abundant during summer music festivals. Just because that’s the case, though, doesn’t mean you can’t wear fringes in colder seasons like fall and winter. Fringes are definitely more of an all-year rounder, if you ask me. You can wear them on anything at any time of the year. If you’re looking for a way to add more detail and movement to your look, adding fringes is definitely the way to go. Here are our favorite ways to wear fringe beyond summer.

1. Fringe boots – fringe boots are definitely fall and winter material. They’re great for accessorizing your look and for keeping your feet warm at the same time. Fringe boots have a rather strong Western appeal to them. These are not usually the kind of boots you’d want to wear with dressy pieces but with more casual and street style pieces instead. When wearing fringe boots, make sure your pants aren’t bulky or chunky as the combo of fringed boots and baggy/bulky/chunky pants tend to blow off body proportions in a major way.

2. Fringe sweater – sweaters are always in every woman’s fall and winter wardrobe and if you want to sport a unique piece that’s both cute and comfy, a fringed sweater is perfect. Choose sweaters with fringes on areas that you want to highlight and not on areas that you want to downplay as this will just draw more attention to the spot.

3. Fringe cardigan – another cute and comfy way to wear fringes beyond summer is to wear fringed cardigans. Just throw them on top of your skirt and jeans and you’re ready to go. Try not to wear anything else with fringes, though. You wouldn’t want to end up in a hot tangled mess at the most inopportune time.

4. Fringe bag – not very excited about wearing fringed clothing? You don’t have to. Instead, what you can do is to carry a fringed bag. Fringed bags are so versatile. They look summery when worn with summer clothes but they do blend in well with fall clothing as well, especially when it’s in a warm and earthy color.

5. Fringe scarf – if you’re a fan of scarves during the fall and winter months, you might want to give fringed scarves a shot. Fringes on your scarf also help create more movement in your look. They also help create a more interesting texture for your outfit that, in return, makes your outfit look more noticeable and interesting .

FALL IS COMING

This time of year can feel nostalgic for many of us, knowing the carefree summer days are coming to an end and fall is on the horizon. Seeing your sunkissed glow begin to fade, needing a sweater in the evening and getting back to school means we’re preparing for the chilly months ahead. Despite the sadness you may feel saying goodbye to summer’s warm and sunny days, there’s lots to look forward to in the fall. In fact, many people swear by fall as their favorite time of year. From the gorgeous foliage to warm apple cider – the sights, smells and tastes of fall are just enough to get you excited about the fun season ahead. Here’s a look at the best of fall!
It’s officially sweater season! Time to bust out your favorite cozy sweaters – from cardigans to cowl necks, fall fashion means layering up and sweaters are the best way to get the job done.

Apple picking and apple pie! One of the best parts of fall is watching the apples ripen and start to fall from the trees. Taking your family apple picking and working together to make a pie can be a ton of fun. A day at the apple orchard is perfect for breaking out those favorite fall boots and sweaters too!

If you love the holidays, you’re in luck when fall rolls around. From Halloween festivities and costumes to a day of family and fun on Thanksgiving, fall is packed with holiday spirit. With a few extra days off from work and lots of time spent in the kitchen, fall feels festive from start to finish.

Miss those riding boots all summer? Well, now’s the time to throw on your favorite skinnies and best pair of knee-high boots for a weekend brunch or night out on the town – whatever the occasion, fall means bringing the boots out from the back of your closet.

What’s your favorite part of fall?
