We’ve looked to French women for inspiration in fashion, beauty for as long as we can remember. Gorgeous hair, perfect skin, beautiful figures and killer confidence. They are beautiful in a way that is both effortless and mysterious, we can’t help but wonder: How do they do it?

 

 From skincare to makeup, these are the products French girls can’t live without.

 Signature perfume – In France, you’re not dressed until you’ve applied your signature fragrance. Perfume is more than a mere step in their beauty routine—it is a signature, an integral part of their identity. Some iconic French perfumeries include Chanel, Dior, Hermès, and of course, Lancôme!

 

Hair-raising treatments – For french women and specifically Parisian, good shoes and a great haircut go a long way to make you look healthier and more attractive. People notice your hair first, then your eyes and your smile, and then your footwear.

 Red lipstick – Lips are like the accessory, not necessarily. That’s very French. But no lip liner, ever. They never do step-by-step – they don’t have time.

 

 Smokey Eyes – The perfect way for adding a bit of drama and Parisian flair at night is effortless French smokey look. If you do smokey look, though, go for completely nude lips.

Fall Trend: Short-Strap Cross-Body Bags

Crossbody bags are so useful and what makes them so great is that are always there by your side when you need them, and let you live in a way that clutches would never be able to. Sometimes though when the strap is too long and your stuff is constantly banging against your thigh.

 

 The solution sometimes could be to knot off the strap at the top or bottom, but stretching the straps can ruin the whole bag if you want to untie them later – so here comes fall 2016 new biggest trend – Short-Strap Cross-Body Bags. And they look unbelievably chic!

Copy the Style : Mary Kate Olsen

The Olsen twins are two of my favorite style muses. They play with texture and silhouette and have an keen eye for design. Sometimes, Mary Kate’s unique style tends to trump Ashley’s for me. Mary Kate goes for edgier, out of the box looks that I cannot help but appreciate. She’s been at it for a while, making the “most fashionable” list at Met Galas and rocking a style that’s all her own. Check out some of my favorite looks of hers below! All Black- Her signature look is black these days. You’ll often see her in sleek black separates like the look below. The loafers  add a chucky edginess that I love in her style.

Old School Lady Tux- The Olsen twins rules the runway with their unique choices. I love this old school tux. It’s inspired by YSL’s le smoking suit and it brings something different to her red carpet style.

Witchy Chic- Mary Kate is known for her oversized jackets and clothes. She has a thing for the Stevie Nicks witch style and is able to pull it off every time.

70’s Rock Star Cool- Her Stevie Nicks’ style is pretty easy to pick out in a crowd. At the Met Gala a few years back, she wore this cool rock and roll floor length number.

Seit 130 Jahren macht er aus dem weiblichen Mund ein Gemälde - Tipp-Topp sieht er immer aus - der Lippenstift.

Seit die Schauspielerin Sarah Bernhardt in im späten 19. Jahrhundert zu Ihrem Liebling erklärte, erlebte er einen Karriereschub und nistete sich auf Dauer in unseren Handtaschen ein...seitdem hat sich eine Menge in puncto Farben und Texturen getan und daher stellt man sich immer wieder die Basisfragen, wie z.B.

Wie intensiviert man die Farbe?

Indem man mit einem ultrahoch pigmentierten Lipliner in der gleichen Farbe über den Lippenstift geht!

Gibt´s Tricks beim Lipliner?
Ja! Lipliner sollten nur in der Farbe des Lippenstifts verwendet werden, auf keinen Fall dunkler, selbst wenn es nur eine halbe Nuance ist - ist nicht mehr modern!

Welche Farbe ist perfekt?
Für Anfängerinnen, die sich nicht so recht an kräftigen Farben trauen, sind Koralltöne perfekt , aber wer wirklich eine kräftige Farbe möchte, sollte eine matte Variante wählen, denn die ist optisch nicht zu aufdringlich und auch bürotauglich.

Forgotten Icons: Betty Catroux - Muse von YSL

Betty Catroux sagt  der Name nur Insidern  der Fashion-Welt etwas - aber Ihr Stil sicher allen:
Safari-ueen trifft auf androgyne Lässigkeit - der damalige Signature-Look von Yves Saint Laurent.

In den 60ern war Betty Catroux ein erfolgreiches Chanel Model und so wurde Designergroßmeiser auf Sie aufmerksam. Er war sofort von Ihrer Schönheit , androgynem Stil sowie Ihrer unbekümmerten Art  inspiriert und mache Sie damit zu seiner "Zwillingsschwester"!

Auch wenn sich damals kaum ein Normalsterblicher YSL leisten konnte, lieferte er die Vorlage für Designer, die bezahlbare Mode produzierten.

Auf die Frage, wie man eine Muse wird, meinte Betty: Ich interessiere mich nicht so sehr für Fashion, und ich style mich nicht. Ich sehe seit meiern Geburt so aus, und bin immer gleich angezogen - ich muss sagen, dass Betty Catroux wahrscheinlich die lässigste Modeikone ist, die es je gegeben hat.
