New Year - new collaboration: Nasty Gal and Courtney Love

It makes sense. www.NastyGal.com a brand built on vintage nostalgia, recently announced it’s newest collaboration with “one of the baddest bitches of all time,”  Hole singer and rock and roll idol, Courtney Love.

The company took to their Instagram account to announce the exciting collaboration.

Here’s what they had to say:
“You guessed it. We’re collaborating with rock icon and muse @courtneylove on an exclusive collection (coming soon)!”

We don’t know much on the specifics, but the Internet is officially buzzing. I cannot wait to see what will be born out of this collaboration. More updates soon to come.

Boots by Body Type

Cool fall weather signals the start of boot season. Chances are, it’s time to give your footwear a serious reboot. With so many twists on the boot—from ankle boots, booties and flats to over-the-knee, wedge and stiletto—there’s a perfect style (or two, or three) for every body shape. Ready boots? Start walkin’.

Pear Shaped Girls: Wedges & Riding Boots

When your lower half is a bit larger, try looking for boot styles with a slight heel to give you a little a lift and help lengthen those stems. Steer clear of anything thigh-high or over-the-knee because they take up too much real estate. You never want to completely cover up a shapely leg – sometimes that only makes them seem bigger. Instead, flaunt them! When you keep legs bare, it maximizes a slim silhouette. All bootie or wedge styles are fair game, but super clunky, chunky heels are your foe. Pair a fun riding boot with an A-line skirt or wear it with your favorite pair of jeans for a shot of equestrian cool.

For Girls Who Are Top Heavy: Rain Boots & Thigh Highs

Since your legs are one of your best assets, inverted triangle shapes can work a variety of boot trends. Try a great flat boot or a motorcycle style for some attitude. Be ambitious! Maximize your leg length with styles that have vertical seams or laces – they draw long lines which, in turn, make legs appear even longer. The slight quarter-inch heel of a sleek pair of thigh high boots will help to make them look a lot less “Pretty Woman” and more “trendy fashionista.”

For The Hourglass Figured Girls: Booties & Knee-High Boots

When you have enviable curves, a bootie or knee-high style is ideal to show off your shape. Anything thigh-high or over-the-knee may compete with your curves and won’t look sleek and polished. Your figure does a lot of the talking and can give a paper bag a sense of sexiness, so choose simple, classic styles that streamline those killer curves. Anything that tapers to your leg will always flatter the most. Looking  for the perfect bootie to show off your hourglass curves? Choose a super chic pair possibly in of-the-moment oxblood; go for some zipper embellishments on a cute ankle-grazing bootie for a fun look this season. xo

Airport Fashionistas

Finally going on that vacation you’ve been dreaming about for ages? Well then, it’s off to the airport with you! Sure, the airport isn’t exactly a runway show. Airport travel is kind of a hassle. You just want to be comfortable, yet still look good as you arrive to your destination. It’s all about getting some inspiration from your favorite celebs. They seem to have the answer when it comes to airport style. Check out how celebrities dress to the airport and check out all the comfortable, chic looks their rocking.

Gwyneth Paltrow- Go for some comfortable leggings and converse to take your airport style to the next level. I love Gwyneth’s comfy striped sweater, as well.

Lupita Nyong’o- Below, Lupita is using her scarf to conceal her famous face, while also creating some interesting texture that any fashion girl can appreciate. Looks comfortable.

Kendall Jenner- With the way Kendall Jenner’s been traveling all the time, it’s no surprise that she’s a master of airport style. Take note with her look below.

Taylor Swift- Sometimes, it’s more about style than it is comfort. Just take a page from Taylor Swift’s stylebook.

5 of my Most Stylish Film Moments

Movies have the ability to transport us to another world. They do this with the help set designers, editors and, most importantly, costume designers. Costume designers bring the look of the film together and figure out exactly what certain characters should look like. Some costume designers have been able to go above and beyond in order to create character’s whose style becomes iconic. Check out some of the most stylish film characters of all time according to me. Let me know what you think in the comments section.

Breakfast At Tiffany’s, anyone?

Cleopatra- If you’re going to play the Queen of The Nile, you’re going to have to look fabulous.

Clueless

Carrie Bradshaw- We went to go watch the Sex and The City movies for the sex, the girls, but most importantly the style. I will always adore Carrie’s wedding look. She looked stunning.

The Devil Wears Prada brought us one of the best fashion montages and makeovers of all time with Andy Sachs rocking more designer names than I could count.

Let me know !! xx
