I love a good quote. Sometimes those few wise words are all I need to get into the right mindset to take on my day or get over a slump. Words are powerful. They carry weight. And when they’re wielded by the people we admire, they can change minds and shatter misconceptions. If you’re reading this blog, chances are you admire the fashion set just as much as I do. I appreciate designers and fashion pro’s as artists in their own right – not everyone can think as freely or as creatively as some of these fashion piomeers. Ralph Lauren - Goodbye

 Stardesigner Ralph Lauren gibt nach 48 Jahren an der Spitze des nach ihm benannten Kleidungskonzerns den Chefposten ab. Stefan Larsson, bisher Topmanager der Marke Old Navy des Rivalen Gap, wird den Vorstandsvorsitz im November übernehmen, teilte die Ralph Lauren Corporation am Dienstag mit.

Der 75-jährige Gründer des Modelabels wird als Verwaltungsrats- und Designchef aber weiter Einfluss nehmen. "Mein Job ist es, immer über die Zukunft unserer Firma nachzudenken – Stefan Larsson ist außergewöhnlich begabt und wird ihr eine frische und globale Perspektive bringen", sagte Lauren.

Junger Partner stellt neue Weichen

Der 41-jährige Larsson arbeitete 15 Jahre lang für die schwedische Modekette H&M, bevor er 2012 bei Old Navy anheuerte. Lauren holt damit einen jüngeren Partner an Bord und stellt so die Weichen für die Führung.

Frill & Cage

The runways were rife with ruffles, notably the flamenco-inspired renditions at Balenciaga and Ralph Lauren.

Cagey looks were popular as well, with sheers at Alberta Ferretti, among others.

Ralph Lauren Launches Vintage Venture

"I am happy to welcome you to RL Vintage, a very personal experience for collectors who share my love of craftsmanship, patina, heritage and personal style," said Ralph Lauren.
