US Fashionistas Style

The US of A is full of big beautiful cities that are full of stylish ladies. As I travel, I cannot help but notice all the differences between cities. Each one brings it’s own flavor and it’s own fashion sense. Some of my favorite cities to visit have some of the best style out there. Check out some of the differences in city style below! New York- New York style is a difficult one to peg down. You have your fashionistas, your trend setting babes, and your business casual beauties. Sometimes there is so much style, it’s almost impossible to take it all in. I do think that the city rubs off on people and makes them more stylish. I love it!

Miami- Miami girls know how to dress for the heat! In Miami, expect to see a lot of skin, shorts, and white. The sun is constantly out all year long, so they have no choice but to dress for the weather. There’s a ton of color in this city. Miami ladies are unafraid to match their eclectic city’s surroundings

Los Angeles- Los Angeles style is the picture of trendy. These girls are rarely caught in anything less than fashion forward. They often dress very rock and roll while still incorporating lots of color into their wardrobe. The close to perfect weather just adds to their ability to trend set.

A Capricorn - so true !

You Love Work- Your friends call you a workaholic, but truly you just place your work high on your priority list. Nothing wrong with that! You work hard!

You Love Money- You work hard to—well, reap the benefits. Capricorns tend to be materialistic, but for the most part, you take care of your finances. You think about being safe for the future.

You’re Practical- Like I said, you think about your future and your safety. You aren’t a big risk taker and you like your familiar routine. This sort of pragmatic planning is kind of your thing.

You’re Loyal- Despite being a recluse at times, you’re loyal to the people you trust and love the most. Your friends know this about you and they know they can always count on you, Capricorn.

You’re Organized- Your friends and family consider you organized and responsible. You’ve always been the most “adult” out of your friends. You’re good at taking care of your life and the direction of it. People rely on your responsible nature.

You Don’t Mind Letting People Have The Attention- Once again, you’re an introvert! You don’t need people applauding you all the time. Your friends can have a moment in the spotlight while you stand somewhere nearby. It’s all good to you.

You Can’t Stand A Lie- You know when people are lying to you and you can sense a false attitude from a mile away. You’re already wary of new people. On top of that, you have a keen eye for detail, so you’re really good a spotting out a lie.

Pump up your hair

If you finding yourself struggling with lack of volume in your hair – first of all – you aren’t alone. There’s a whole world out there of ladies who have fine or thin hair and finding the volume they want (in spite of humid summer weather) is a real challenge. From curls that lose their luster to an all-around flat look, finding a way to add a little volume can feel like winning the hair styling lottery! Ready to learn a thing or two? Here’s a roundup of great tricks and tips to give flat hair a boost of volume.

Hot rollers are your best friend. One of the best solutions for providing volume to already dry hair, hot rollers often take backstage when curling irons are around. But, hot rollers are great! Throw in some hot rollers to your already dry hair and finish putting on your makeup and getting ready. When you pop the rollers out, you’ll have instant volume. What could be easier?

Teasing – or better phrased as “back brushing” can offer immediate satisfaction in the volume department. There’s no need to go wild with this one, but a small amount of back brushing on the under layers of hair can offer a great amount of lift for minimal effort. Add a quick spritz of hairspray, like thos one with volumizer from Fixx, to hold it all in place and you’re good to go.

Get to the root of the problem. Often, a boosting spray or a bit of hair spray at the roots can provide long-lasting, but subtle lift – and, enough to last all day. Try blow drying locks upside down to give your hair even more of a root lift.

Give dry shampoo a try.  Dry shampoo is the best solution for those days when you just don’t have time to wash and style your hair, but it moonlights as a volumizer. Even if your hair is totally clean, using a light spray of dry shampoo at the roots and in the under layers of hair will give you immediate satisfaction with some pretty awesome lift.

Change your part. This sounds so easy – and it is! For an instant lift and a bit of a change, switching your natural part to the opposite side will help provide an immediate lift of the locks. If you take it one step farther and go for a deep part toward one side of the crown of your head – you’re in luck – on the spot volume and a cool new look.
