Gigi Hadid covers first Vogue Arabia issue

Writing on her Instagram page, the model said: "Being half-Palestinian, it means the world to me to be on the first-ever cover(s) of Vogue Arabia."

Two different editions of the magazine's first issue have been produced - one in English and one in Arabic.

 "I think the beautiful thing about there being international Vogues is that, as a fashion community, we are able to celebrate, and share with the world, different cultures," Hadid said.

 Such a gorgeous image, though I wish they'd have used an Arabian model - those girls are so beautiful," wrote one follower of the Vogue Arabia account.

Another said: "Been waiting for this for so long 😍😍 maybe you'll give a chance to Arab models like what Harper's Bazaar did."


Vogue Arabia is the 22nd edition of the fashion publication to be launched.
It will be distributed in several Middle Eastern countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

A bilingual Arabic-English website for Vogue Arabia has already gone live, with the publication of the paper magazine to follow.

"The collage of countries across the Arab world are long-deserving of a place in fashion history," Abdulaziz said in her message published on the website.

"And there's no better first 'face' to lead the charge for Vogue Arabia than Gigi, a model who defines tomorrow's entrepreneurial and dynamic generation."

Hadid has mixed heritage - her mother is a Dutch-born American while her father is Palestinian-American.

Fashion Awards 2016 – Best Dressed

The Fashion Awards 2016 in partnership with Swarovski is being held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall tonight to celebrate the best of British and international talent from the global fashion community, where fashion designers, brands and models are going up against their biggest competition . This year’s Fashion Awards will raise funds for the British Fashion Council’s Education Foundation charity for education scholarships to help the best talent attend leading fashion colleges.

The red carpet was alight dazzling with high-end couture for the British Fashion Awards 2016 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The biggest names in the business attended to round off the year in fabulous style with the 4,000 guests including the likes of Naomi Campbell and Gigi Hadid.

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016

 The outfits were more over the top than ever—we're talking dramatic details using lace, fringe, leather, and more. While last year saw the runway debut of BFFs Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, their sophomore season was arguably even better: The former donned a pretty black-and-white number while the latter was outfitted in a spectacular black outfit with straps galore. All the VS veterans also made a strong showing, including Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima. It was tough to narrow down our picks, but we've rounded up the very best looks below.

I love flipping through fashion magazines. There’s a certain pleasure that comes from seeing fashion ad’s and editorials. The artful colors and use of models always amazes me. Photographers, designers, and conceptualizers come together to create these brilliant advertisements and beautiful photographs.
