ValentinesDay - Single ? Who cares !!

So there’s two ways things can go if you’re single on Valentine’s Day. You can wallow in self-pity eating a carton of ice cream and crying your eyes out while watching early 90’s “rom-coms” or you can pick yourself up and enjoy every moment of this special holiday – and make it all about you. No matter what, there’s loads of ways to pamper yourself – and what better day of the year than the one that offers any excuse to luxuriate in the finer things? Of course this day is all about you! Especially if you’re embracing the single life and loving all it has to offer.  You ready to celebrate? Here are a few ideas for how you can enjoy every moment.

Bubble bath. When do you have time to take a mid-week bubble bath? Pretty much never, right? So how about filling up that tub, grabbing a glass of your favorite red wine, turning on some tunes and just letting yourself relax? Amazing, right?

Head straight to yoga. There’s nothing like starting or ending your day on the right foot and bringing yoga into the mix is the perfect way to do that. Whether it’s part of your weekly routine or something totally new to you – make it a priority on Valentine’s Day to give yourself that extra time perfect for calm reflection.

Go Dancing. Gather up all your single friends and head out on the town looking your best, with your dancing shoes on. Shake it all night long until you’re so tired you have to head home. Sounds like a blast, doesn’t it?

Make your bestie your Valentine. Still want to send a card and chocolates? You can, of course! Make your best friends day by sending them straight to her (even if she’s not single). She’ll really feel the love and you will too when she knows you took a few minutes to remind her just how much you appreciate having her in your life.

Have a single ladies party. Why not, right? Gather up all your single friends, make a great dinner and just have fun hanging out.

Get a mani-pedi. Of course! What better day of the year than to treat yourself to a time-honored tradition of total luxury? After work head straight to the salon, you’ll appreciate every moment of it.

Cook something healthy and delicious and have a super low key night at home. Let yourself relax and unwind – put the smartphone away and close your laptop. Just chill out with a good book or let yourself totally veg and watch some t.v.
Are you single?
What are your Valentine’s Day plans?

Ralph Lauren - Goodbye

Junger Partner stellt neue Weichen

Styling Inspired By Works Of Art

I’m the type of person who can find inspiration anywhere, but especially in art. One of my favorite things to do while traveling is going to different art museums and taking in all the culture. It’s easy to find inspiration when there are so many beautiful paintings and sculptures in the world that can be seen by the public.

I love mixing my inspirations with fashion, which is probably why this post is here today. Check out some looks inspired by famous works of art. I doubt you can walk away from this post feeling uninspired. Let me know what you think!

Mona Lisa- Bring together olives, and darker neutrals to bring out Mona Lisa into your closet. Try not to confuse too many people with your sly smile when you leave the house.

The Kiss- To bring out Gustav Kilimt’s The Kiss into your style, be sure to wear gold with patterns inspired by the painting itself.

The Son Of Man- Dark neutrals with a pop of green are the focus of Son Of Man, so bring out your surreal side by adding these colors to your ensemble.

Haartrend: Vokuhila

 Was meint Ihr ? xo

Body Language

Have you ever noticed that someone’s body language seems to tell you a lot about that person? It’s almost like a view into his or her entire personality. While you have the ability to control words, sometimes body language is an innate instinct – something that happens without even thinking about it. Whether you’re assessing your own body language habits or you’re trying to identify how to handle a particular situation with someone, understanding what your body language says about you just might be the best tool you have. From leaning in close to crossing your arms, here’s a look at using body language in all aspects of your life.

Use body language to create a sense of trust. This comes in handy both in the office and your personal life when you really want to have an honest discussion with someone or you’re working with a new client. Stand up tall, make eye contact and stand close enough to the person that he or she knows you’re interested and engaged. Be wary of standing too close as that can create an uncomfortable feeling for someone.
When you need to take charge of a situation or rally a group – keep your head up high, your shoulders back and add a huge smile – this is inspiring and shows that you’re ready to lead. Similarly, if you’re taking a leadership role in a presentation or you’re working professionally with a new team, your posture tells all. Standing up straight, with your head high, shows that you’re excited to be there and are ready to tackle any tough situation.
Nodding and making eye contact is one of the best ways to let someone know that you’re both paying attention and you’re interested in the conversation. Crossing your arms, stepping too far back or looking away can all create the impression that you have better things to do. In both personal and professional relationships, it’s important to use body language to show that you’re engaged and listening.
If you have to have a tough conversation, using body language to connect with an individual(s) can help make the situation that much easier. Open yourself up by adjusting your position so that you are aligned with the other person, rather than merely looking over your shoulder. Show off your genuine interest in making a connection through eye contact and leaving all other distractions behind.
Skip the fidgeting – no matter what the situation may be. Wiggling, squirming and shifting around can easily give an impression you want to avoid – boredom. Regardless of where you have to be or what’s next on your agenda, everyone deserves 100% attention, so be cognizant of your own tendencies to shift and squirm. If you truly do have another obligation – let the person know you’d be happy to finish the discussion at a later time.

What are your body language habits? Are you aware of the small changes you can make to help change a situation?

Tricks That Make You Look Slimmer

When it comes to being thin, some women are blessed.  Then for others, it can be a lifelong battle trying to shed a few pounds.  Fortunately, though, there are several beauty and fashion tricks you can use to appear thinner.

Wear the right shoes
First of all, an instant way to look thinner is by wearing a skirt or dress that comes right to the knees and pairing it with two to three inch heels.  Stay away from heels that are square-toed and have a chunky heel, as these will only make you appear shorter and heavier.

Wear body shapers
Shapewear might not be the most comfortable, but it definitely does a great job at shaping your body.  Any time you’re wearing a tank top or low-top shirt, you’ll want to wear an extra-firm shaper on your tummy.  You’ll not only look like you’ve lost weight, but you’ll appear more toned and in shape, too.

Wear the same colors
Want to wear a blue shirt?  Great, pair it with a blue skirt.  Are you in the mood to wear brown slacks?  If so, pair them with a brown blouse.  When you wear the same color, it draws out your vertical height, which helps.
