Add Luxury to You Everyday

Living a life a luxury takes work, right? It’s common knowledge that you have to work hard in order to enjoy the finer things in life. What if I told you that a luxurious everyday lifestyle was possible on the budget you’re living on now? Would you believe me? Well, it’s possible! It’s all about enjoying life’s most exquisite pleasures at home, without a millionaire’s paycheck. Below I’ve listed some ways to add luxury to your everyday. Are you interested? Check it out and be sure to leave a message for me in the comments section.

Wear Lingerie Everyday- Wear your most luxurious lingerie. Knowing you’re wearing deliciously comfortable and beautiful lingerie helps to make a woman feels special. It’s a secret confidence booster that makes you fee like a million bucks.

Cook at Home- No need to invest in a personal chef to create meals that are worthwhile. Cook at home and on your own schedule. You can focus on your dietary needs and use recipes that you want. It’s all about the pleasure of cooking for yourself.

Find Leisure Time- Make time to enjoy a book at a café while sipping on some delicious coffee. Buy yourself a pastry while you’re at it. It’s something that the French would approve of.

Invest In Some Quality Skincare Products- When a woman gets ready in the morning, it’s her time to focus on herself. To feel fabulous during that special routine,  invest in some quality skincare products. A great moisturizer might make your day just a bit more luxurious.

Shop Local!- Shop from local vendors and boutiques. When you shop local, you get quality one-of-a-kind products without having to blow your budget. Find cute gifts, or unique high quality products for yourself. Not only are you quenching your thirst for luxury but you’re also supporting a local business!

Shopping Rules to make the most of Christmas Sales

Is anyone else feeling like the holidays arrived faster than ever this year?
Nothing is more fun than finding the perfect gift, especially when there are so many amazing deals out there – but knowing where to look and having a strategy will help ensure you get everything on your list and for the right price. From gifts for the kiddos to something for that special someone ...

Make a list. No matter if you plan to do all your shopping from the couch curled up in your pj’s or if you’re putting on the walking shoes and hitting the brick-and-mortar shops, having a list is essential. Include everyone you’ll be shopping for in order of priority so that you can easily keep track of what you’ve purchased and what’s left to buy.

Brainstorm ideas. After you make your list, try to jot down a few gift ideas for each person. That will help guide the process and give you a bit of direction. Rather than standing in the middle of a shop, feeling completely overwhelmed, coming up with a few ideas ahead of time will help you narrow down and find the perfect gift.

Outline and stick to a budget. This is essential so that you don’t absolutely break the bank and get tempted by spontaneous purchases just because of a sale. Think about your total budget for holiday shopping and then break that down per person. Write down the per person limit for each individual on your list – and keep track of what you spend along the way. Budgeting your holiday shopping will help you feel good about your purchases and won’t leave you feeling overwhelmed by what you spent.

Have fun! Buying holiday gifts for friends and family should bring you loads of joy – so enjoy it – even if you are facing crowds and lines. There’s nothing better than getting into the spirit of the season – so get out there and have a blast!

How to stay fit over the Holidays

With the holiday season upon us, the parties and festivities have likely already started. And, you know what that means? If you aren’t careful, you could start packing on the pounds. From baking cookies with the kids to the loads of treats floating around the office, having a strategy for navigating all these extra calories is essential. While staying on track with your health during the holidays may sound daunting, you’ll feel better about yourself, be in a better mood and look great at all of those parties if you stick to some simple rules. Already overwhelmed? Don’t be. Here are a few tips for staying fit and healthy over the holidays.

Have a plan. Take a look at the calendar and evaluate the holiday season. How many parties do you have on the schedule? Which days will you need to ramp up your exercise and which days can you scale back a bit? When you know what’s coming, you know how to plan – both from a nutritional and exercise perspective.
Pack healthy snacks and lunches for the office. Despite all the temptations at the office, if you come prepared it’s one of the easiest places to avoid and resist all the snacks and unhealthy items. Pack a lunch every day loaded with leafy greens, lean meats and healthy crunchies – like apple slices and carrot and celery sticks. When you feel the urge, break out your healthy snacks and have a huge glass of water – you’ll be full in an instant.
Before you head to a party, eat a healthy snack. Heading to a party when you’re super hungry is the easiest way to pack on unwanted pounds because your tendency is to head straight to the cheese plate. Rather than mindlessly eating loads of calories, fill up on something healthy first – like almond butter on a slice of sprouted bread or a couple of turkey roll ups. The protein will help keep you feeling full and will help you avoid mindless snacking.
If you want to have dessert, just go for a few small bites. You don’t have to avoid it all entirely, but rather let yourself taste a few of the delicious holiday treats. Just have a bite or two – and then walk away from the desserts. You can do it!
Make exercise a priority. Especially on the days when you’re party bound, finding time to get your daily steps in is essential to staying fit throughout the holiday season. Making that extra bit of effort to get up early will make all the difference when it comes to feeling great no matter how many parties you attend in a week. If you can’t make it to the gym, throw on your sneakers and hit the pavement each morning with a brisk walk or a light run. Just 30-60 minutes of getting that heart pumping each day will leave you feeling great.
Don’t beat yourself up if you get off track – it’s OK, it’s the holiday season after all! If you eat a few extra calories or have a bit too much to drink, get up the next morning and lace up those running shoes – it’s time to head to the gym or head outside to get moving.

Do you have a plan for making health and fitness a priority during the holidays?

Ways To Waste Less Food

If you’re on a budget, saving food is imperative. Even if you’re not on a budget, wasting less food is great for the environment. Check out how you can waste less food.

Start Storing Smarter- Doing small things like separating bananas rather than keeping them in a bunch, keeps them fresher longer. You could also reconsider the organization of your fridge to have everything in the right places so they last longer. Don’t put fruits and veggies in the same drawer because they spoil together. All it takes is some research.

Only Buy What You Need- Make a list before you go to the store and be sure to only add what you need. Don’t get distracted by adding extra apples or tomatoes. You could even download an app for keeping your grocery list.

Freeze Your Veggies- Get into the habit of freezing your veggies. It doesn’t take much time and it saves you a whole lot of rotten vegetables.

Make More Trips- Making more trips to the store to get what you need on a biweekly or triweekly basis is better for saving food than going for weekly trips.

Don’t Buy In Bulk- Buying in bulk is a trap. How many people are there in your family? Do you really need that many crates of produce? Things like toilet paper or foods that have long expiration dates can be bought at discount when it comes to buying in bulk. Aside from that, stay away.

Use All Your Food- Use all of your food, like all of it. Cook with every part of your food, use veggie scraps to make broth, and leftover veggies for a frittata. Using all your food will definitely keep you from wasting food.

Bubble nails

... the trend that´s taking over the Internet ....

The latest nail trend is surprising to say the least. Women are going beyond experimenting with colors and designs to play with the actual shape of their nails with 3D "bubble nails."

So, what exactly do bubble nails look like? Somewhat similar to what your fingers might look like after getting jammed in a car door and swelling like crazy. Or, if you stuck your nails in crazy glue and then straight into a bowl full of gum balls.

"It was prevalent five or six years ago, right at the beginning of nail art, but it never gained popularity," celebrity nail artist Pattie Yankee told TODAY.com.

According to Yankee, bubble nails are essentially acrylics with a much greater thickness than normal. To achieve the look, a nail technician places a ball (or multiple balls) of acrylic at the center of the nail and builds it out by adding layers.
While acrylics are typically applied as thinly as possible, this look is all about the bulk. But because the application creates such a heavy layer, Yankee warns the acrylic may be more prone to falling off.
"The point is to make it pop more," said Yankee, who explained that she often had clients ask for an accentuation of their natural hump in the '80s, but never this exaggerated.

And it's not just bubble nails that are trending; so-called "hump nails" are also having a moment. The two look similar on the surface, but the difference has everything to do with nail length. Bubble nails keep the nail bed short while hump nails have a more elongated shape (though a pointy or square end can appear on either).

So... can anybody tell me why I should just try that trend already ???????

Work Wardrobe

How do some women do it? They always look amazing at work. So fashionable, yet simple, while the rest of their wardrobe looks just as amazing. Seems impossible to get that look down. You’re struggling with your own work wardrobe, let alone the rest of your wardrobe. What’s a girl to do? Here’s one thing you can do: create a work uniform. No, I’m not talking plaid skirts and white blouses. I’m talking about getting a few different outfits and accessories down together for a fashionable work wardrobe that’s easy and simple to create. Check out my helpful tips below.

Choose A Color Palette- See? I told you this wasn’t your everyday uniform. Pick out a color palette that works best with the city’s climate that you work in. For example, business folks in Miami probably wear more colorful looks to work, while New Yorkers are prone to darker styles. Two to four colors should be enough.

Find 5 Shirts For The Week- Pick out five different shirts within your color palette. Choose enough for the workweek, maybe get a sixth one just in case.

Add The Rest Of Your Look- Add some extras, like pencil skirts and slacks. I would say that 5 bottoms should be enough. Get two dresses you can easily accessorize and two jackets, plus some shoes to match. You’re work uniform is almost complete!

Shoes, Purses and Accessories- Pick up some flats and kitten heels to match your color palette. Next, get two big purses to fit any papers that need to travel. After that, pick out your favorite work appropriate accessories and you’ve got up to 30 outfits that are perfect for work and sure to amazing your coworkers!

Body Language

Have you ever noticed that someone’s body language seems to tell you a lot about that person? It’s almost like a view into his or her entire personality. While you have the ability to control words, sometimes body language is an innate instinct – something that happens without even thinking about it. Whether you’re assessing your own body language habits or you’re trying to identify how to handle a particular situation with someone, understanding what your body language says about you just might be the best tool you have. From leaning in close to crossing your arms, here’s a look at using body language in all aspects of your life.

Use body language to create a sense of trust. This comes in handy both in the office and your personal life when you really want to have an honest discussion with someone or you’re working with a new client. Stand up tall, make eye contact and stand close enough to the person that he or she knows you’re interested and engaged. Be wary of standing too close as that can create an uncomfortable feeling for someone.
When you need to take charge of a situation or rally a group – keep your head up high, your shoulders back and add a huge smile – this is inspiring and shows that you’re ready to lead. Similarly, if you’re taking a leadership role in a presentation or you’re working professionally with a new team, your posture tells all. Standing up straight, with your head high, shows that you’re excited to be there and are ready to tackle any tough situation.
Nodding and making eye contact is one of the best ways to let someone know that you’re both paying attention and you’re interested in the conversation. Crossing your arms, stepping too far back or looking away can all create the impression that you have better things to do. In both personal and professional relationships, it’s important to use body language to show that you’re engaged and listening.
If you have to have a tough conversation, using body language to connect with an individual(s) can help make the situation that much easier. Open yourself up by adjusting your position so that you are aligned with the other person, rather than merely looking over your shoulder. Show off your genuine interest in making a connection through eye contact and leaving all other distractions behind.
Skip the fidgeting – no matter what the situation may be. Wiggling, squirming and shifting around can easily give an impression you want to avoid – boredom. Regardless of where you have to be or what’s next on your agenda, everyone deserves 100% attention, so be cognizant of your own tendencies to shift and squirm. If you truly do have another obligation – let the person know you’d be happy to finish the discussion at a later time.

What are your body language habits? Are you aware of the small changes you can make to help change a situation?
