How To wear a Jean Jacket

The denim jacket is a trend that comes and goes. It was huge in the nineties and worked its way into the early 2000s. It’s back again with vengeance. I see the jean jacket on women everywhere. It’s a comfortable staple that helps you stay warm while still keeping you stylish and casual. I love denim jackets worn over the shoulder. This style technique helps make your outfit look elegant. To get the perfect jean jacket style at home, check out my styling tips below! Let me know what you think in the comments. Are you rocking jean jackets this summer?

Comfy With Sneakers- This look is perfect for when you’re out on a shopping trip and looking for some comfort while still working with style. It’s cool, easy, and definitely breezy.

Refresh Your Wardrobe

Spring-cleaning came and went. You gave away clothes to thrift shops and consignment stores and now you’re left with everything else. You love the clothes in your closet. You sincerely do, but style-wise, you just haven’t been feeling up to it. Where’d the energy that you once had waking up in the morning inspired to style yourself go? It’s time to refresh your wardrobe and step out of your style comfort zone once again. Re-style and reimagine looks from your own closet, because who has time for a trip to the mall right now, anyway?

Get DIY Happy- It’s time to tap into your crafty side. Looking up DIY tutorials is a great way to help freshen up your wardrobe and turn old style staples into new ones. Cut off the sleeves, make holes in your jeans, just do what you have to feel inspired by style again.

Mix Separates- Mix separates that you haven’t worn before and rock them with shoes and accessories, you never thought you could rock. Give yourself a goal of mixing separates you’ve never worn together, at least once a week. Turn it into a habit and see your closet transform.

Try Out Clothes You Don’t Often Wear- We all have those dresses and jeans collecting dust in our closets. It’s time to dust them off and give them new life. Wear them once and while, lady! Feel good about your outfit

Add Unexpected Accessories- Add accessories to an outfit you normally wouldn’t consider. Add spikey studs to a floral, garden party look and add dark lipstick. Your friends will start to expect the unexpected from you.

Play Dress Up- As a kid, I had a trunk full of clothes and fun accessories and would play dress up and act out scenes in my head. Now, it’s your turn to go back to those days. The best aspect of style is that it allows you to be whoever you want to be. So go in front of your mirror and have some fun! You deserve it.

BELTED DRESSES

How to wear belts and dresses must be a fashion trick every woman masters. The belt is a classic accessory that you should have multiples of in your closet for every occasion, but in this particular post I want to talk wearing belted dresses. A belted dress can create curves and show off a fabulous hourglass shape… as long as it’s done right. Here are my five tips! xo

  • Make sure your wearing belted dresses that actually belt at your natural waist
  • A belt should give your body definition when wearing a billowy top or shift dress
  • Have fun and belt your layers together, like a t-shirt dress and scarf or dress and cardigan
  • Learn all the different ways to you can tie and tuck a skinny belt – you don’t need to only use the belt holes!
  • If you’re wearing a belt + tight dress, keep the belt snug against your body. If it’s a more voluminous fabric, you can loosen the belt

Here are three summer BBQ outfits perfect for any plans, from your backyard to a day at the beach (I’m leaning towards the maxi dress!).
