Petite Styling Tips

Petite ladies like you might lack a towering height, but you can look taller easily with a few fashion tweaks and touches. Create an illusion of length by following these style tips for petite women:

Be a Maven in Monochrome
Monochrome hues might be boring, but they can greatly boost your height. If a single color proves to be too boring for you, break the monotony with vibrant accessories such as necklaces and belts.

Look Longer with Vertical Lines
Vertical lines and details can help make you look stylishly colossal. Garments with vertical stripes are good choices, although vertical seam lines such as princess seams are good elongating options as well.

Be Cute in Cropped Jeans
If you have extra-long jeans, folding the ends – or cropping them – is the way to go. Just make sure that the end terminates above the ankle. If the fold ends anywhere else, you could make yourself look even shorter.

Festive Plus Size Fashions

Being a plus – size lady has its own advantages and disadvantages when it comes to fashion. Exploring different brands can be difficult when you’re a plus size but lots of brands are venturing into the plus size world now so don’t lose hope. This holiday season; don’t let all these dampen your drive to dress up. Here are some plus size holiday fashion tips that will help you look your best for the coming festivities.

WEAR MORE DRESSES – dresses have a more feminine look and feel to them. They’re dressier and more chic too which is what you’ll want when dressing up for the holidays. Aside from that, dresses also often tend to make you look slimmer too. Make sure to stick to dress styles that you know are flattering on your body type. If you’re not sure about this, you can always wear shift dresses and A-line dresses or even wrap dresses as these are the ones that are considered universally flattering on all body types.

GET VAMPY – so, you know how they say black makes you look slim? While that’s definitely true, wearing black just doesn’t seem cheery enough for the holidays so if you’re looking for colors to wear that will make you look slimmer but don’t want to go Goth with black, try other darker colors that aren’t as gloomy as black like deep purple, maroon or even navy. This will give you more of a sexy, vampy look instead of a grimy one.

ACCESSORIZE – another way to draw attention to your assets and away from your flaws is to use accessories. Wear accessories on or around the area that you’d like to draw some attention to and leave the area where your flaws are bare

DON’T TAKE HEELS FOR GRANTED – heels don’t only make you look taller, they elongate your silhouette in general, too, making you look thinner than you really are. You don’t have to suffer with those super thin heels if you’re not comfy with them. You can opt for chunky heels or even wedges instead.

Fashion Tips On Making You Look Slimmer

There is no magic pill to lose weight – but you can deceive others with the right styling. Here are some insider tips that can make you look slimmer instantly. The Darker, the BetterDark colors help create an illusion of leanness. Look thinner immediately by dressing in all-black garb (other darker colors will do as well.) Why? These hues create the illusion of a long vertical line

Pick the Right PantsIf you want to look thinner ASAP, go for dark-colored trousers (such as black or navy) with a tapered leg. Avoid those with pleating. As for jeans, the same rule applies: choose dark-colored washes. Opt for straight jeans that go one to two inches below the ankle. High-waisted jeans in dark washes are slimming options as well. For the ultimate sexiness, choose denims made from stretch fabric.

Choose the Right SkirtThere are many skirts out there, but some can make you look bigger. Look shapelier with a knee-length skirt or an A-line skirt that ends above the knee. Want to look sexier this coming winter? Wear your skirts with opaque black tights for a full slimming effect.

Do you plan on wearing a tunic or a dress? Achieve a thinner look by wearing any of these with a slim belt. Cinching your waist this accessory can make you look sexier instantly.

Be Smart When it Comes to ShoesPicking the right shoes can create a sexier look as well. Shoes with low-cut vamps can make your legs look even more slender. The right heel height can create an illusion of trimness too. Heels measuring two and a half inches (and above) make clothes fall ‘better.’ These can make you appear thinner to others. If you are a fan of pumps, choose those with thin heels and pointed toes. Such designs can elongate the leg line. The result? A fabulously taller and slimmer you.

Furry - Wintertime Fashions

Winter is the best time to stay in and get comfy but it’s just not possible. You have to get out there and brave the cold to get to work or to school or to whatever else keeps you occupied during the day so the next best thing is to dress up in cozy and comfy clothes. And what better way to get comfy while you’re out in the cold than to don something furry and fuzzy? If you’re looking for something to warm you up for the coming colder winter days, check out these fuzzy, furry fashion items that you can cozy up in.

LONG FUR GILET – on days when a super warm and heavy outfit isn’t necessary, a gilet would be a really nice piece to have. It’s not too chunky and it won’t have you feeling too hot like a full on jacket or coat but it’ll still keep you feeling cozy and snug. Instead of going for regular fur, go for long fur. It give your outfit a much more elegant look. Faux goat hair is a great alternative, too.

MINK COAT – want to add a bit of a luxurious look and feel to your outfit? All you need to do is throw on a mink coat on top of your outfit and you’ll be all set for the day. A mink coat can be a little expensive but it sure is a great investment for any fashionista. It’s the perfect outerwear for dressy looks and it’s something you can use to dress up simple and casual outfits as well.

SHEARLING – whether it’s the trim on your boots or on your gilet, shearling is something that’s sure to keep you warm and comfy. Unlike fur, shearling is a little clumpier. It also has less of a luxurious look and feel to it which makes it perfect for casual and street style outfits.

FUR SCARF – it doesn’t look like a scarf per se but rather more like a collar made out of fur. Wrap it around your neck to dress up a plain top or jumper and to keep you warm and cozy as well -
